I don't see why not.is it just at few light taps on the bolster like any other slipjoint?
Thanks for the tip with the razorblade[That was odd- not what I quoted at all.]
I don't see why not.
I always slip a double edge razorblade into the joint so I don't get it too tight.
It works for me, but just let me cover myself with:Thanks for the tip with the razorbladeIt could be nice to get it up and runnin again, right now it feels like an accident waiting to happen.
Haha, thanks I’ll be sure to send an update so you know a haven’t bleed out trying to fix itIt works for me, but just let me cover myself with:
I'm no expert. Razor blades can be sharp. Don't try this at home.![]()
Buck's 703 is 3 1/4" long and named their "Colt" model. The Bronco is their 701 model and 3 3/4" long....Also is it Bronco or Colt and what’s the difference?

Thanks! Seems like the folks on the big bay is as confused as a was. I must admit this makes me lust after a BroncoBuck's 703 is 3 1/4" long and named their "Colt" model. The Bronco is their 701 model and 3 3/4" long.
Bigger strings just means bigger calluses, right?Maybe you could try easing it into your pocket instead of cavalierly dropping it in?
I guess y’all are probably sayin to yourselves, “Self, what kind of goofball quotes his own post?”
This goofball, apparently.
Our friend Bob sent me a message with some interesting info on Voos. Interesting and contradictory to what I said above.
He was kind enough to correct me privately, but I value truth over ego, so let this be proof that I am still in the category the professionals call “Educable”.
Here’s part of what Bob sent, from Goins~

I’d sure like to see one of these in the flesh!
Hey! Those strings are a LOT bigger, so you’re the man!
Did I mention that the pastor at church is also our bass player?![]()
GECs red micarta is my favorite. Great pickup, Jeremy!#3 pickup. Loving the way they did this micarta and the consistency of the red.

I have a 703 that I bought 40-some years ago. I carried & used it alot, and mine's still tight. The scale on one side developed a crack, and I didn't want it to fall off, so I retired it. I'm pretty sure Buck called it the Colt, but I may be mistaken. This Buck 703 Bronco/Colt? is another knife my father took home from working in Greenland. The main blade is a bit loose and I would like to hear what any of you fine gentlemen would do to fix that, is it just at few light taps on the bolster like any other slipjoint? Also is it Bronco or Colt and what’s the difference?

I’m still very much enjoying your picture of the retired Colt. As you can see on mine a flake of the handle has also fallen of, it’s not the end of the world, put still annoys me, I’m gonna try to see if i can shape a bit of dark wood and gently glue it on.I have a 703 that I bought 40-some years ago. Edit: Oops! Redsparrow beat me to it by a long shot!
