Or this guy:I love the way they are using that old stock in France JJ, even today there must be thousands of old blades knocking about in Sheffield - a lot of Joseph Rodgers old stock ended up in the River Sheaf!Thank you my friend, Eric is doing superb work, he is our link to the past
I sure hope he doesn't get replaced by Robo-Eric!

Nice bass but a dozen bluegill that size and you have a good meal
Splendor in the grass, Bob!Didn't need them, but were in my pocket, when I went from golf course to lawnmower.View attachment 2218558
Jeff, I don't know if you've ever run across this here, but there used to be a guyIf you fish in the ‘bay for that pattern, you run across some that previous owners have tried to grind the screwdriver blade into something else. I’ve bought a couple or three of those and reshaped them into small sheepfoot blades. Fun mod with a clean conscience since it’s no longer original. And cheap to buy!
Your tip-bolstered pearl Bruckmann is remarkable, Jonny!Bruckmann today!!View attachment 2218720
Handsome oak handle on your Opinel!#6 Opinel in Oak

What a tremendous trio of old bone that is!View attachment 2219015Old Bone! Valley Forge, Robeson & Remington!
That's a vintage knife that gives off all kinds of good vibes!
Couple of my favorite photos of your desert ironwood Guardians lambsfoot, José; the background goes so well with the handle grain!
I really like that slick, streamlined handle on your Opinel, Bob!A simple combo today. ( I did not like the bunny etch).View attachment 2219482
Holy ox horn!I generally don’t believe in non-users, but still, this is one of the few im saving for myself for another day. Gebr. Hoppe pen blade with beautiful Ox horn scales.

Congrats on your new Kaufman pruner, Jeff, and plaudits to Steve for his thoughtful generosity!I received a new knife in the mail yesterday from Mr.SteveC . He thought I’d enjoy using it in my garden. I think that will prove to be correct.

The orher side tang stamp is K55K, View attachment 2219629and I found one reference saying it’s K for Kaufmann, and 55 was the street address of their original digs. It can’t be a model #, because the same stamp appears on lots of patterns.

Superb stag HHB!
Nice 1912 Peanut, Vince!

Breathtaking bone in the sunlight, Steve!
Cool S&M canoe, FC; particularly pointy spear blade! You did well, I dig the cup. Is the bottom unglazed so you can sharpen on it in a pinch or idle moment? Could you pretty please tell me more about that lovely tiny fixed blade?

Three blade Thursday, is that right? Is today Thursday? I don't know much, but I sure like huge knivesDunno why it's been so long since I carried the David Kelley, might be my smallest knife but still soo useful. I know why I haven't carried the Canoe in a minute, I over-pressed the joints trying to eliminate some side to side play
. If any generous souls know the trick for fixing that safely, I'd love an idea, PM, or link to relevant thread. Remonstrations uneccessary, I've already chewed myself out.

Your stag 72 is stellar, Harry!Carried these two today when taking my wife in for a check up . Northfield 72 LB's made in 2016

I hope you were wearing asbestos gloves when you grabbed them, JJ, because that pair looks HOT!
Thanks for explaining the scope of Old Friend Friday; I tend to have too limited a view of it!You're not wrong about the fairness flaw, Gary. I guess that's why we have "Old Friends Friday" to look in the back of the knife box and see an old favorite that hasn't had enough recent pocket time.
This Boker Barlow was the first knife that I reshaped the blades to sit properly in the well, and I was so proud of my amateur modder skills, I carried it often. Recent discussions brought it to mind.
A couple years back (in the Before Times, so at least 3 years) @Jack Black sent me a bagpipe ebony Lambsfoot Big'un, and it's dominated the role of Lambsfoot in my pocket rotation ever since. But recently I've started to miss my old favorite: the Wee Staggy Lamb.
I think they'll pair well, and may be my totin' pair through the long weekend:

That WABOOM! image is awesome, Jack, as is your pair of knives!...
