What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A new week, with a new bunch of knives assigned to me by my weekly rotation schedule! Since summer officially begins this week, I'll start by showing off the 2 canoes I'm carrying for the week.
Rough Rider amber jigged bone canoe is the first canoe I ever had in hand/pocket, and I was surprised to learn how much I enjoyed the pattern. This first canoe has led to more than 50 others over the past almost 10 years.

Rough Rider Zombie Nick canoe. I won't write anything else - it speaks for itself:

Quite the collection those canoes must be, gathered together, Gary. Two fine canoes to begin " rowing" through the coming week. Hope it's a good one for you.

My father gave me this scrimshawed souvenir Parker lockback after a trip he made to Hawaii, probably circa 1985 or so. He became so enamored with the islands that he made many more trips there throughout his life, and was ultimately interred there.

I gave this knife to my elder son several years ago to add to his collection. Ironically, he is currently stationed in Hawaii.

Needless to say, this one seemed fitting to tote today.

Happy Fathers Day, all you other dads.

Almost dark, but modern cell phones can take pics in low light.

I love the way they are using that old stock in France JJ, even today there must be thousands of old blades knocking about in Sheffield - a lot of Joseph Rodgers old stock ended up in the River Sheaf! Thank you my friend, Eric is doing superb work, he is our link to the past :) I sure hope he doesn't get replaced by Robo-Eric!
A very interesting technique to imbed the past history into a new release. Considering the unrivaled cutlery history of Sheffield, it seems a shame to toss classic blades away o_O Fortunately, robots are only good for gross repetition and lack any discernment inherent in a true artisan :thumbsup:
What a fantastic pairing, I'd never noticed the similarity between those two before, and they compliment each other well. Wonderful photography JJ
Thank you very much for your kind words, Jack!!! :)
Happy Father's Day to all the dads, and have a great Sunday :) Double Lambsfoot Day for me ;)
