Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/
Thank you Steve.Nice pairs both of you !
Wonderful Mike! Do you pick most of these beauties up at knife shows or do you take the time to reach out to custom makers individually and have these made?
Thanks Jon, I actually had this one made and had to wait until he acquired the mammoth. It was worth the wait to me.
Thanks Bart. It’s relatively new to the stable. A 31 1/2 and it’s extremely well made. The handle material has started to shrink, I guess, and there’s a gap between them and the bolster, but it’s at least as old as I am and in way better shape!Nice pair, Todd. That black bare head Case is really cool. Don’t think I’ve seen that one before.

Calendar shot right there. These two today.

Ah yes, Mr. Sleeveboard. I remember that HSB… sweet, sweet knife, Greg!I always enjoy seeing that Tidioute Big Jack in linen micarta, even when its not posed on delicious looking blackberry pie, Jeff. Sorry you missed all that rain yesterday, we got hammered. Had some high winds here too and it knocked down some of the milkweed in the wife's flowerbed. Only the second year for our milkweed and the wife says it'll be sturdier next year. We had all day steady rain on Sunday too and now the lawn and all other growing things about the yard are lush and green again.
Been carrying this HSB sleeveboard whittler today. I picked it up from a bargain table at the Badger Blade show earlier this year while in the company of a great group of fellas
from right here on the forum. Dinged scales, pitted and a bit worn blades but great snap and blade action. I think it will still be quite functional for several more decades though.

Four. Red and green earrings for your Christmas girlfriend, and starboard and port earrings for your nautical girlfriend, and hope that never the twain shall meet.Mike still has some of these. Maybe I'll get the green one to make a Christmas combo.

Or make port and starboard earrings for my nautical girlfriend.
Maybe I should get three.
Point takenYeah… but the mailbox is basically in the driveway and that also didn’t rhyme![]()
Absolutely stunning sir! It looks even better in natural light.

I’d say you win the weekend with those two stunners, Bob.Mabel needed some accessorizing today.View attachment 2243690
Thanks for the kind words Jon. Glad your slip is working well for you.Nice of Mabel to let a little Yella Case get time in the presence of the queen!
Wonderful Mike! Do you pick most of these beauties up at knife shows or do you take the time to reach out to custom makers individually and have these made?
Wonderful pen slip! I carry mine all the time.sbh06 does such a good job with these.
With the patina forming, the cattle knife could easily pass for an early 20th century classic.
Love this pair. The clip shape on the fixed is. I don’t recognize the mark…but I know I like it. Copper and black is always gonna be a winner.
This old buddy/new buddy pairing is quite nice. Enjoy your day Jack!
She has a quite attractive and fiery, red headed cousin.
That birch is so striking
Wonderful picture of a great knife Gordon! Very classy!
thanks much Jon...you have quite the way with creating personalities for knives.

If I name her, Mabel will get extremely jealous. Thanks Bart. It’s relatively new to the stable. A 31 1/2 and it’s extremely well made. The handle material has started to shrink, I guess, and there’s a gap between them and the bolster, but it’s at least as old as I am and in way better shape!
It’s in the pocket again today. View attachment 2243875
Wow Bob!They both look fantastic, the red and black one is fantastic! Does it have a name?
Very kind of you Jeremy.I’d say you win the weekend with those two stunners, Bob.![]()
Happy birthday to your daughter Jon.Ha! I’ll blame it on hours of flexing my imagination in the world of My Little Pony and legos. But today my 13 yr old girl has a birthday party and she’s inviting girls over just to “lay out” and chill and talk.. Uhhhhhh. That is not a dad zone

That 88 is certainly a peach of a knife!Hope everyone’s day is just peachy.View attachment 2241756
My "internal thermostat" has got to disagree with you about the weather, Bob.I wish for spring and it was glorious. Two hot days and I'm wishing for winter!View attachment 2241770
ED, I've been spending a few hours each week this summer doing something similar in the office I had at work for the past 37 years. Most of what I discard is paper, journals, books accumulated over 50 years of teaching. The building in which my office is located was built 37 years ago, so I'm the only person that has occupied the office so far, and I'll miss it when I have to get out at the end of this month. Hard to get used to the idea of someone else using "my" office.Stay at home day carrying a light, simple, knife - 055 Buck. Will probably piddle around the shop going through and throwing away unused (for years) items. The dumpster will be happy. Sausage and eggs for breakfast.

I like the length of that knife, Alan, but I wouldn't mind if the handle were a little "taller" (rather than "longer" or "thicker").As much as I like this RR I still wish it was a touch bigger.View attachment 2242021
Steve, I should post wood as good as you do, and I would if I could!
Cool photo of the ballpark, Bart!No knife for me yesterday as we watched some 4th of July baseball in San Francisco. The Giants didn’t do so well but we still had a fun day at the ball park.

Notable pair!
Stunning matched set; congrats! This one came in the mail today, all the way from South Africa. So nice I had to make a matching slip to carry it in.

Thanks for more amazing photos!Still feeling patriotic. Fireworks pics taken yesterday at 2023 Libertyfest. Awesome fireworks but took over an hour to get out of the parking lot due to zero traffic control.

Tremendous trio!
Love that Swayback Jack; I don't think I've ever seen a green one!
Really like the simple Navy knife pattern, although I'm not sure why it appeals to me so much!I am totin two Jacks, a Camillus Navy Jack, and a Tidiute 54.
And the Canadian Belt Knife in it’s dangler sheath was next to my coffee maker, because my wife didn’t like it where I’d left it on the kitchen table, so I stuck it on my belt, too.
She also did that with my pruner and work gloves.
Happy Thursday. Although I’d be happier if all that rain had not passed us by. It’s weird. My wife called me from a highway/interstate junction 20 miles from home to tell me she’d had to pull over because it was raining so hard. Not on my garden, though. Sigh… I guess I’ll be watering again.
I skipped a day of berry picking on Tuesday, so yesterday, I made the rounds again. Four more quarts in the freezer, but I left out enough to make a pie.View attachment 2242705
I told you the milkweed flowers were interesting. Here’s a pic ~View attachment 2242708
A neighbor also has milkweed in her flower beds, and her husband showed me the Monarch Butterfly eggs on the underside of a leaf. Couldn’t see any on mine, though.

I didn't mind the nature of farm work, but with cows to be milked twice a day, 7 days a week, no holidays, the "endless" schedule got to me. (Also, from a career choice perspective, I didn't seem able to develop the broad spectrum of skills needed to run a successful dairy operation.)I love your farm boy memories, and I’m jealous. But I can see how the endless chores could lead you to look for a different career!
Here’s a pic of the two GEC Farm n’ Field versions, Bullnose (jr sized), and Bullbuster next to the original Case Sodbuster (a gift from Todd after he saw me fondling one at the Blade Show). The Case numbers are 2137-Jr, 2138- full sized.
View attachment 2242766
I didn’t like Case’s blade shape on the Jr. ~ strictly aesthetics. To bluntly rounded at the tip.
GEC nained it as far as blade shapes. I like both sizes, but lean toward the full size. Being a single blade, it’s no problem in my pocket. It just comes down to what fits your hand, what you’re using it for, and what pleases your eye.
Probably excessive explanation for a knife I bought for under $5!Thanks kindly Gary, for the compliment and detailed explaination concerning your canoe.![]()
Looks like there's a Port-a-John by the remodel, so it's nice having that additional option in the neighborhood!Another summer day here in the City by the Bay! Just my luck that the house down the street is being totally remodeled which includes removing the stone on the front of the house, very noisy! Keeping me company today is the usual lamb and S&M HJ.

OK, I give up, Todd; I must not be paying attention. I know your WCLF is a recover, but I can't figure out what the material is. My best guess is some kind of purplish camel bone?? Anyway, it looks fantastic!
Gorgeous Case pen knife, Steve!
Thanks GT!That 88 is certainly a peach of a knife!![]()
