What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Barlows all the way down today...got the 77's out after I got home from work.
Barlows all the way down, I like that too. Even better than turtles!
First day back to work after a long and much needed vacation. Boy did it go by fast!
They say time flies when your having fun! Welcome back. Do we get any vacay pictures? We can't take one this year, so trying to live vicariously.

She's dreamy Jeff, love that spiral punch! Great find. Hope your garden isn't drying out?

Classics for sure Jeff. Thanks for sharing them.
I forgot to compliment your very fine Primble, Jim. I'm finicky about gunstocks (ok, most things) but this one looks just so, and that pocket-worn jigging 😍

In the spirit of Mr. P baiting, I fished this Redwood burl handled fixed blade out to tote today. What monstrosities might be depicted on these scales?
Make it the best Tuesday it can be, Porchsters!

Thank you Bob, it's a Simon Stonehocker. Cpm cruwear @ 63+ hrc is some serious cutting power. He might be my favorite fixed blade maker, I have three of his knives now. You can find him only on Instagram, as far as I know.

Another foggy start to the day in the City by the Bay! I’m shocked! We were having problems with our Direct TV so they sent out technician who actually showed up on time! Watching the All Star game later. Keeping me company today is the usual lamb new barlow. 😀

Dan sf fanatic sf fanatic - So nice to see all the trash bins lined up in formation. Your cutlery selection today is very nice but overshadowed by the trash bins.

Thank you for the info FC. I only have 2 fixed, I may have to correct that mistake.

Very nice carry Jim. 👍🏻Funny, I was just thinking of Mr.P myself.🤔
Hopefully, he's just busy fishing :) The last time Mr P went fishing, he was gone for 5 years! :D
Nice pair of knives Jack! 🤠
Thank you David :)
Really enjoying the photos lately, mother nature and knives, nothing wrong with that.
A bit of a heatwave here, so outside early in the garden and mowing some lawn.
Harry, my roses have been cursed with beetles too.
Good health to everyone.View attachment 2248267

I thought public pools were a thing of the distant past. Glad to see some are still open.
It’s here ~ https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/nw-hawthorne-gec-48-case-slimline-trapper-pics.1934707/

The public pool doesn’t sell lottery tickets or booze, so the “Authorities” made them shut down during the disease. But they’re rockin now. Huge pool, huge crowds on hot days.
This is the same pool I lifeuarded at when I was 15. One day, we made everybody get out and be quiet. We cranked up the PA, and we all listened to the live feed of the moon landing.
Couple of really nice knives and stories, Jeff!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, Gary! And please stop me if I retell a story!🙄

Thanks! The garden would be dead if I did not have a good well.

Chance of rain tonight! 🤞

Thank you sir. That thread could cost me money.
That pool has been around a while.

Two Camper Knives: 1980 Case and 2023 Rough Ryder. While I typically EDC a Trapper, I'm starting to like the Camper/Scout knives more than many other patterns, like the Stockman or Congress, because I use the secondary blades more (bottle opener, awl, and even the can opener). Plus they were absolutely everywhere in the 1970s and 1980s when I was a kid, so nostalgia is at play... All the old stores: Caldors, Two Guys, Sears, etc carried several Camper knives, the first style I remember owning. Both the Case and the modern RR are made to be used!
