What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

'Twas almost as gorgeous as your Davison, Todd. Wow!
Thanks so much! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
It took me a year just to figure out how to use the "quote" option on this forum... Sorry you're under constant surveillance there, but at least they can't stop you from finding and cutting cake. Here, you can just forget to pay your phone bill and they stop watching/listening. 🀣 πŸ€”

Happy Weekends to all
Right back at ya! What a beautiful spear blade. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Thanks! Ya I've always enjoyed it untill probably the last year. Really feeling it. Terrible condition for a 39 year old dude. Family/friends are either in bad health or gone from smoking... it's time. We had my 51 yr old friends funeral about a month ago and that was when the plan started. Way to young to check out.

Thanks! I'm reluctant to say "quit" yet but at this point I think it's good Lol!
Congratulations on quitting, or at least giving it a go! I quit in 2005 after 17 years of smoking and chewing.

I used to think it sounded ridiculous, but my advice is that you have to quit on your own terms, for yourself and not for anyone else. Decide you are a non smoker and be it. It's really a mental thing. Once I had made up my mind, quitting was actually relatively easy.
I did use the patch for about a month though it didnt feel necessary at the time. I will admit, I do sometimes still think about how good it would be to have a big fat chaw in my lip, but its been so long now I can't go back.

Good luck!!

Really nice stag on that lamb. Is it a new production?

That bone is fantastic. Kinda makes me wish I had put in some effort to snag one.

Beautiful country! Never been to Wyoming
Jeff, I’m a little bit upset at the state of Wyoming right now. A massive hail storm came through the other night and just pummeled the daylights out of my car. It also hammered my buddies car really good and there’s a possibility he will have to replace the roof on his house and his garage. It was about one in the morning when all the ruckus started and I peaked outside with a flashlight and the hail stones were the size of golf balls. The only miracle in the whole thing is that no car windows were broken which shocks me. The insurance adjuster will be out Monday to look at my car and we will go from there. But yes, Wyoming is absolutely gorgeous….most of the time😒😒😒

Thank you Bart. I hope all is well out west.
It’s hot here but all is well. Fortunately I’ll be escaping the heat for the weekend.

I guess the knife works 😁. They actually followed me to the gate because they knew I was moving them to the next field.

Thanks Jack and nice pair !
Thanks buddy :)
Beautiful sunny morning here. Just sat down and noticed a few rays of light refracting through the lid of my coffee mug onto my Zippo. Never know what you might see if you’re paying attention. Have a great day everyone! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘View attachment 2251392

Good for you. I quit in 2019 after decades. I knew it was stupid, but I enjoyed it. More so when people would get bitchy about it View attachment 2251423View attachment 2251424
I still get the occasional craving, but now its more like an intellectual observation, "Huh, a craving". After 4 years I feel safe saying I'm done. I have no interest in smoking. Stick with it. After 3 weeks the nicotine should be mostly out of your system, so now its just a matter of deciding not to smoke. Good luck :thumbsup:
I still get those 'intellectual observation's after 40-odd years, but if I had a cigarette now, I'd probably hate it! :D What I miss is my memories of a young man smoking, not the reality of an old man coughing! :D
My lower back has been bothersome this week. Felt a lot better yesterday and ok this morning, so I'm going to drive into town and see about playing some pool with the guys. If it doesn't feel ok after a couple of games, I'll implement good old "Plan B": have a beer, watch the other players and talk trash :D
Poker later in the afternoon

Glad to hear you're on the mend Mike :) Hope you enjoy your pool :) Cool pic

Wonderful selection today.
Yes, the lamb is a new version, and I was fortunate to get a good one.
Bob

You made it just in time to pull out those very wonderful cutters!  The three things I disliked mixing with lightning: surfing, sailing and golfing. o_O:thumbsup:
Thank you kindly JJ. I agree, lightning is no fun especially around water. Surfing and golfing gives you a chance to find shelter....when racing sailboats, well just don't grab the rigging.😁
You chose two classic Frenchman today, that reminds me not to neglect mine.

Thanks buddy :)

Thank you Bart! 🀠
I carried my Case pen knife this morning.

I swapped the pen knife for my Alox SAK on our trip to San Diego for the weekend for my daughter’s track meet.
Those Case 55's are nice!🀠

I just looked that up....a very good piece of advice! A strike on those cables would definitely ruin your day.🫨
Yeah, the worse thing is, you have nowhere to go! I did a route while rock-climbing in the Italian Dolomites many years ago. The weather was OK, fortunately, but we heard stories!
