Nice custom! And gotta comment on the Fender pick. I don’t use picks anymore, but if I did, I’d look for a medium in that color!
A lot of the old Fender colors were Dupont Automotive colors that Ford and Gm were using in the ‘50s. When I put together a Strat from parts, used a torch and scraper to get the poly off, and mixed up my best imitation of Seafoam Green in nitrecellulose lacquer. And my next scratch built Tele will be Seafoam Green, too..Love that color on guitars, old Ford pickups, and Chevy Bel Airs.
Very good knowledge of woods Mike, black palm it is.
Glad you are feeling better.
I was impressed, too! They don’t grow palms down in Mizzourah
The Grohmann has been hanging around since I pulled it out for Canada Day. Its a very fine knife that deserves more pocket time.
The Rambler goes with everything :)

There’s something near perfect in the geometry of the CBK.
Another foggy start to the day in the City by the Bay! Just got back from my weekly pilgrimage to the grocery store. Along for the ride the usual lamb and the always handy SAK Executive. My daughter is here from NOLA and she is SO HAPPY that we live in the fog belt. Temp’s in New Orleans have been unbearable. Hope every one has a great weekend and stay cool! 😀

Enjoy having your daughter around! And if you take a side trip inland, and she says it’s hot, you’ll get to say “Yes, but it’s a sry heat”.

That sucker is lookin good! I think anything with the oil sucker coat looks exceptionally good with a solid patina. That one is gonna be a solid user for years to come.
Thanks Jon. This wood is superb, lots of character and I’m definitely working on its patina!

I’ve got a Buck 110, if that qualifies as a beaver? On a side note I have to admit I have a soft spot for American traditional patterns. I would never have guessed a few years ago I would spend hundreds and hundreds of $ on stockmen and trappers. It’s like a sudden satisfying relief, having previously only known the bland European spear point folder with its pen blade and cork screw. It’s probably vague remnants of an inner Viking heritage manifesting itself

I've been riding my mountain bike (pedal powered) and photographing Dragonflies, Damselflies, and birds, so I'm a little behind here. However, I did finally get this Remington dressed up as well as I'm going to, and it's in my pocket today, along with my Redbone Buck Cadet and Buck 112 Ranger on my hip.

I'm still trying to figure out the story on this particular knife. It looks like the start of a Bullet knife, but it's obviously not. I've seen others like it listed on-line, so I know this isn't a one-off.

It Shuffles & Whispers, but it's okay. It looks better anyway.

The pitting will stay. This one doesn't deserve any more effort.

I do like the satin finish much better than the over-polished look.

Pitting? On stainless? Oh well...

Slow, controlled strokes...

Oh, and it cuts too. I buy band-aids in bulk these days.
It's a good thing I just updated my first aid kits last week.

Be safe and have a great day everyone.

Church services and picnics go together. Hope you are blessed with good weather.

I appreciate that, my friend!

The amp could, but it will not.
I’m the new guy, who doesn’t want to freak anyone out. NEVER play over or louder than the vocals!
But there are interludes and fills where I can dig in a bit😁
