Thanks Gary, I was very pleased with the results.

I worked every summer while teaching with a custom woodworking friend or at the ironworks.

Enjoy your Sunday Gary.

One of my favourite pairings Rachel :)
Mine as well, Jack.

Here's another good pairing:

Nice custom! And gotta comment on the Fender pick. I don’t use picks anymore, but if I did, I’d look for a medium in that color!
A lot of the old Fender colors were Dupont Automotive colors that Ford and Gm were using in the ‘50s. When I put together a Strat from parts, used a torch and scraper to get the poly off, and mixed up my best imitation of Seafoam Green in nitrecellulose lacquer. And my next scratch built Tele will be Seafoam Green, too..Love that color on guitars, old Ford pickups, and Chevy Bel Airs.

Thank you, Jeff. Matthew McAlevy makes very nice knives, I have two he posted in the Exchange.

I would enjoy watching a guitar build like that. Interesting story and info about the color choices too; thanks. I worked on a farm that had an old Ford pickup in that color, had to get it going from second gear.

I have been teaching myself how to play guitar for the last year+, as time permits, using the internet. "Art of Guitar" lesson series and "Ultimate Guitar" App. Still not all that good (I can make my way through songs I like; Tom Petty, Wilco, Robert Earl Keen, John Hiatt, Beatles, George Strait, etc.). Someday maybe some Mark Knopfler songs. I use a pick about half the time (been practicing fingerpicking). It was just trial and error to find picks I like - generally medium with some texture, but the seafoam green fender was sitting there (which, for anyone else still reading, is super light and thin) yesterday when I took the knife pic, so there it stays. As "middle aged" hobbies go, one could do a lot worse than a J-45 (and far too many knives).

Thanks David, I agree. So many cool Case patterns that they don’t make anymore.

I agree with your seafoam green thoughts, Jeff. I don’t have a seafoam guitar but I do have a seafoam green ‘61 Bel Air.

I don’t have a decent picture handy but you get the idea.
That is FANTASTIC, Bart. Wish I could photoshop my guitar into a shot of it leaning on your car!2DBB87FB-FB1B-4AF8-AB2A-F6A2BBAB1006.jpeg

In an ode to the “who still carries a Case” thread. I will.View attachment 2253784
Me.
I never looked at that thread. Who doesn’t, except for the GEC collectors?
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.😊
Nice knives but I'm loving the old silverface pro !
Thanks, Steve!

I like everything about this post! 😎

Really enjoying the photos lately, mother nature and knives, nothing wrong with that.
A bit of a heatwave here, so outside early in the garden and mowing some lawn.
Harry, my roses have been cursed with beetles too.
Good health to everyone.View attachment 2248267
2 Beautiful knives my friend . Carrying them together solves the problem of choosing which one to carry . Sorry to hear about your beetles issues . I sprayed our Roses 4 or 5 times yesterday . We also have a decorative vine at the back of our property that they like better than the roses that I also sprayed . Just doing my best to kill as many as possible .

Thank you kindly Harry. I believe the beetles are under control. I wish the birds from our bird houses would feast on them.
Be well.

Hopefully, he's just busy fishing :) The last time Mr P went fishing, he was gone for 5 years! :D
Thank you Jack....will not make any noise then and disturb the fish.
Mr.P is a trained professional, do not try this at home!😁
That's my recollection, too, Jack. Primble Primble took some time off to catch some fish, and instead, the fish apparently caught him! 🤓

I just noticed that the mice had been playing while the cat was away. Don't know how I missed these the other day ......... but, given time ...... I noticed ! 🐈‍⬛ 🐭😉:p🤣🤣🤣

Totin' my Primble Barlow for Sunday ...... already put it to use this morning. 😊
