What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks David, I agree. So many cool Case patterns that they don’t make anymore.

I agree with your seafoam green thoughts, Jeff. I don’t have a seafoam guitar but I do have a seafoam green ‘61 Bel Air.

I don’t have a decent picture handy but you get the idea.
Love the wheels.

Yesterday's bike ride in the country hosted this 1998 Buck 442 Bucklite on my hip. I normally tote my 1995 Custom-Elk Antler-Scaled, 112 Ranger while riding in the country, and reserve this knife for traveling by air, which I don't do anymore. I also carry it while visiting the beach - the salt water doesn't seem to affect it in any way. But yesterday, It just felt right riding on my hip in a codura nylon Buck pouch, as I was traveling light with my Nikon and Ultra-Wide Angle 10-20mm zoom lens, and only one banana. To clarify... my Redbone 303 Buck Cadet rode in my pocket, as well as the SwissBuck Trekker that resides in my bike trunk bag, while exploring the Mississippi River bottomland on this day.

I'm a clip blade & brass liner sort of guy at heart - something to do with the knives I knew growing up. With that said, I still couldn't pass on this garage sale Buck for a buck a number of years back. This is the one that had a broken tip, and was so full of what looked to be tackle box gunk, that I cleaned it up and spent the $2.75 shipping and sent it off to Buck Knives for a re-profiling of the tip. ($2.75... those were the days, my friend)

I guess I'm softening a bit on that drop-point gig, because I just laid it out to be today's hip carry around the homefront.

And, as Bella the DirtDawg lived her life's mantra... "Live Life Like Someone Left the Gate Open"
"Live life like someone left the gate open!":)
That's the best piece of advice I've heard in a long time.

Old Engineer Old Engineer ~ Yessir, the Japanese beetles are trying to eat my pole beans😡
Back when I gardened, I finally found the perfect solution to ridding my garden of Japanese Beetles. Buy a Japanese Beetle Trap... and give it to your neighbor, three houses down the street. Works like a charm.

Earlier this week I posted a couple of Rough Rider canoes I'm carrying as my Canoes of the Week. But it turns out I have a couple more canoes this week: a 1975 Case redbone canoe as my Case Knife of the Week and a Chinese Schrade 11OT canoe (that came with no shield) as my Colonial/Imperial/Schrade of the Week.

Carried this one today when we went out for dinner to Lake Villa , Illinois to one of our favorite restaurants . " Reflections " serves some pretty good Polish food which includes Pickle Soup . I had this one in my pocket . It was carried in one of JohnDF JohnDF 's slips .

My wife wanted me to also take a photo of it with the Cabbage that we have growing in our raised garden .

When we returned I changed it out for one of my favorite Users , this old TEW Lambfoot

I saw that in a TV movie decades ago. Simon Ward as young Winnie, Robert Shaw as his diseased father, and Anne Bancroft as his American mother.
They don't make 'em like that anymore.
I saw it on TV, but probably it was a theatrical release, with that cast of thousands, and none of them a computer cartoon.

I once saw Anne Bancroft at the old Concorde gate at Heathrow airport near London. It was her birthday, and they delayed the flight by 5 minutes for her!
