What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

54 Big Jack in micarta, and the Schrade Scrimshaw with the NYKC replacement blade. C5891A19-F67F-4B61-AAA7-A875CB102EB4.jpegADF126F8-A9B4-4DA8-9779-05451706D306.jpeg
And during garden season, I’ve been carrying this Harvester in my left pocket. Saturday night, I realized it was gone. So Sunday morning, and and again that evening, I prowled down the rows of tomatoes where I’d last used it. No luck.
Crestfallen, I told me wife about losing it, and with a twinkle in her eye, and a vain attempt at keeping a straight face, she said “Gee. It’s too bad you don’t have any other knives”. 🤣
Went up to the bedroom, and saw it sticking out of the cushion on my leathe recliner.😃D6BB4271-D20D-4C10-B190-B22A043B7372.jpeg
Hope all you working folks have a great start to your week, and all y’all retired folks, remember it’s Monday.

Another doctors appointment for Cindy so, off to town we go in a short while. Lunch at the Wagon Wheel Cafe after that and then return home. This single-blade sowbelly will go along on the trip. Toast for breakfast.

I had the itch to carry my early Buck 704 maverick.
This whole series had some quirky things going on with the angled blade grinds, but they're just so unique.
These perfectly quantify the essence of Buck knives in a slipjoint, especially the 704 which is like a slipjoint version of the 055 or the 503.

Glad you found it Jeff! A scenario we all have faced - likely numerous times. The same happened to me last night when I couldn’t find my mini champ that lives on my keys; I eventually found it after a frantic search. No matter how “insignificant” or what the value is, misplacing any knife gives the same feeling of ‘uh-oh’.

Cattle Knife to start the week. I could probably carry this forever and never tire of it - especially now that I have this perfectly made/fit slip!

Sak Explorer and Buck Mini Spitfire [no clips or studs]. Mini is really small ,light and tough. Carries well for hikes etc. Before we left for our walk Jack dropped a live Bunny [punctured] on the back porch steps. Mrs Bloefield not happy.

This mesquite 23 has had the blade scotch-brite'd several times.... after slicing a pineapple up when in Hawaii, the blade turned almost black... it's quite a workhorse.
And the bunny is due another session with the abrasive... it's getting a little hoary looking itself.... couple of good woods in the pocket....

Mini Monday with a gorgeous little Mammoth "Pinched Peanut" from A.G.Russell Knives, these are probably some of the finest Peanut pattern traditionals on the planet...really excellent pieces.
