What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you, sir!
Cool little perennials, eh?

Another awesome mod! 🤙

We don’t see enough Pumas👌

And you have a great Sunday as well!

Beautiful peachseed bone on your little NYKC!

You’ve got some sweet bone on your Peanut!
Thanks Jeff,
Pumas are real good built like tanks. We probably don't see a lot as the vintage 1s are very collectable & pricey.
I intended to comment on these quotes Friday morning, but life intervened.

We all nuts about Walnuts, Steve (and that's a cool rock under them)!:thumbsup:🤓

Those are some scary dog attack stories, FC & Chief!:thumbsdown: I guess I should be grateful that neither I nor my little dog has gotten hurt in our unfriendly encounters with other dogs, and the only times I've been bitten is a couple of times while walking during the winter when dogs grabbed my hand, but I was wearing heavy cowhide mittens that their teeth didn't get through.
FC, those are a couple of nice pairs of knives you posted!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I really like your South African toothpick with its intriguing handle material!:cool::thumbsup:

Couple of splendid knives in your new/old pairing!:cool::thumbsup:

Your red and green whittlers look like Christmas in July, Mike!;) Have a good trip to and from TN.

That's exactly the kind of "volunteer" onions that we've had in the back yard every spring for the 38 years we've been in our house!:thumbsup::cool: The ones we haven't used yet have those little "bulb clusters" on top right now.

Nice set-up, Vince, and cool gift from ED!:thumbsup::cool:
Will your Case amber trapper fit in that sheath?

Thanks for the kind words, as always, Jack. :)

Notable pair, Jon; I'm especially enamored with that Winchester stockman!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Congrats on the new Eureka Jack! Outstanding photo, too; the shield on your Tribal Lock and the jigging on your Eureka both look sensational.:cool::thumbsup:

Don't be shy, Bob. 😁 Often when traveling with my wife, she'll say something like, "Look at that beautiful landscaping!" at a property we pass, and I'll say, "Thanks!" I'm willing to take credit where credit isn't due.

Jack, I've thought of many random things on my walks around town, but I've never thought about a sjambok, since I'd never heard of it until you mentioned it! o_O🤓 I looked it up, and it seems to be rather like a riding crop on steroids! I also learned (via Wikipedia - consider the source) that the police in Sheffield were once investigated for purportedly using them on "detainees". The device seems to have Dutch origins (via South Africa), as do I (not via South Africa).

Superb SBJr, LT; I'm glad you enjoyed your trip!:cool::thumbsup:

Congrats on the new Mercator (and the Otter sodbuster I saw in some other thread)!:cool::cool:
Is the Mercator the large lockback model, or the smaller slipjoint?

Cool pic of your "improved muskrat" with rainbow!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks mate
The toothpick was made for my 50th. Scales are butterscotch micarta.

Sounds like you ephsea ephsea Chief Chief have had some close run in with dogs. Stay wary & safe. Doesn't always turn out good, I've been injured more than once walking my dog, ended up with 19 stitches in 1 leg.

I grabbed me some stag for church this morning, and house hunting afterwards. It came in handy to cut some pizza at Costco for lunch.

Jeff, thank you. Even though I just finished supper after seeing the tomato picture I am craving fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, garden fresh butter beans garden fresh cream corn, garden fresh chilled cukes with salt and fresh cracked black pepper, a couple hot banana peppers, big glass of iced tea and hot cornbread from the cast iron skillet.
For the record, I grew up in the deep south so it was iced tea and corn bread with every meal but breakfast and breakfast was biscuits.

Cool! I knew they were onion, but didn’t know the variety. They’ll be planted, you betcha.

Pins are usually nickle silver as I mentioned in my PM to you. I think brass is too soft for hinge and pivot pins. Lots of forces depending on those pins. Brass pins are fine for pinning on handle scales, but I prefer the look of nickle silver.

I think I’ll start another asparagus bed where I’ve been growing garlic, and put that somewhere else.
Thanks for all the advice Jeff, I shall attempt to grow food and TL-29's ;)

Glad to hear you've escaped injury so far Gary. "Puffing up" and yelling at the top of my lungs (I'm pretty loud) has saved me more than once, but it's nice to have a back up plan.

Ack this is a huge fear, that or worse yet my kid or dog gets hurt/traumatized. The dog does a great job of protecting us from people, but when it comes to other dogs he actually does not understand aggression and will stand there and get torn up (twice now 😥, but luckily not too bad). I am seriously deliberating the sjambok, and/or a well-turned Cypress stave with an airhorn attached.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Better safe than sorry😉 but in my experience the big stick should be reserved for the owners. I always have Buddy on harness & lead, when I got really hurt it was in reserve where the owner's house backed on the reserve, he would just open the gate & let it run free.
But Then again as my brother in law said I was a d*@khead for getting in the middle of a dog fight, he could be right😯

To keep it on track, puma again. Lately I've been trying to carry same knife for a couple of days

Probably, Gary, as they have very similar dimensions. Will check soon. However, the Böker sheath is for the Böker trapper. I would carry the Case knife either in my pocket or in a Case sheath.
