What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Good Tuesday morning from the City by the Bay! A disclaimer on today’s neighborhood pics. The two looking up and down the street were taken yesterday evening to capture the refuse bins before this morning’s pickup. The one of the truck was taken this morning. I hollered at the garbage man and asked if the truck was new and he said that it was its maiden voyage! Keeping me company today is the usual lamb and a little Buck. 😀

A big thumbs up!!!!!👍

I’ve found using the limited ones are more fun 😃 Iris always enjoys a good apple and there’s no better knife for the task than a GEC 😄

Hey Dan sf fanatic sf fanatic , is your neighbors yellow house more obnoxious than my neighbors yellow? 😆

Got these two beautiful knives with me. I love the varying differences in giraffe bone. I think it’s time to add a mammoth bone to my collection of Northwoods though I’m always tempted to keep trying for giraffe

Happy Yorkshire Day Gary! :)

Superb pairing Joshua, the jigging on your Rhidian is hypnotic!

Great to have you back Mike :)

I do have some familiarity with ferrets, but I'm not sure they smell much better after a dunking! :D I'm afraid I didn't do any of those things, but I did put my cap on my head, and walked to the pub on both my feet! ;) Chip butty for lunch, pie for tea, and a pint along the way ;)

It's fantastic to see you here Tyson, I've been slightly concerned about you :)
Thank you, Jack, and it sounds like a fine day was had.
Sweet !

Lovely tomatoes Jeff and nice knives !
Apreciate it, Steve!

Pre-wedge tomatoes. Just need a little fridge time, finish off the wedge cuts, a little salt, a lot of fresh ground black pepper and lunch is served.
Jeff, your garden had me thinking about a few pots of tomato plants and a couple pepper plants.

I encourage any and all attempts at food growing, Rick!

The tomatoes are a variety I’ve been growing for several years, now ~ Costoluto Genovese. It’s an Italian heirloom which is techically in the paste family, but wedged and salted, just as you say, and it’s a great fresh eating tomato as well.
I think the Cinderella’s pumpkin shape is fetching.

Finally found out why the internet is down every morning. Frontier, our DSL, phone company has been stringing new fiber optic cable and for the last two nights, someone is coming in behind them in the middle of the night and stripping the new cable out of the ground where it has been laid. It's fixed as of right now but the crooks in Modoc County aren't stupid. They're gonna wait till it's dark and then hit again but the Sheriff, the California Highway Patrol, the phone company, and our city police (the only one on duty at night), all say they've got it under control. I'm not buying it so, just in case the internet is down again in the morning, this Bull Nose is what I'm gonna tote tomorrow and it'll be sausage, one waffle, and one egg up for breakfast.

Good luck Ed.

I have low tolerance for thieves.

I wonder if the crooks know they're stealing fiber instead of copper... or maybe fiber is the new copper for cash?

With my good sport daughter supervising, I pulled a few beets. 54655E62-00E1-4C4E-8600-6B2E4D1CCBE3.jpeg
A long afternoon, but they’re cooked and in the freezer now, along with three gallon bags of beet greens. Set aside a grocery bag full to pass along to the lady at church who works at some kind of healthcare facility for po’ folks. Promised her some garden stuff, because she says they never have enough to give out. And their clientelle with low income and health problems need encouragement to eat real food. So happy to help.
And I have a LOT more beets out there😗
