What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The term "enabler" comes to mind looking at this photo. I do not need another pistol but every time I see this one, I start thinking about getting one, if I could find one.
The better half arrived on a flight from Denver this morning with our seven year old grandson. So I had to swap for a couple of fishing knives for the creek.View attachment 2279080View attachment 2279081
Looks like a great way to spend some time. I remember being his age, fishing with my granddad. Thank you my friend for posting a photo that brought back some fond, awesome memories. Years from now your grandson will recall these fishing trips and smile. Who knows, his allergies might cause his eyes to water too

The older Smiths are certainly worth looking for. Not to “enable” you more, but this 25-5 is one of the best shooting pistols I have. Very accurate and a smooth trigger pull. Found this guy well used for a great deal years ago. I hope you are able to track one down.

Todays carry, a new arrival. A Texas Whittler just in time for another trip to TX. I’ll be glad when it starts to cool down some. Showing 108 on the rental car thermometer right now.

I have this thing that I do when I discover a new song I really like…. I play it on repeat nonstop for up to a week sometimes... I do the same thing with knives that I really like where I’ll just carry it and forget about the rest. Hope y’all don’t get bored of me sharing this one 😁

I see only stag and adhesive. Probably epoxy. Part of what you’re seeing is the pithy, vein carrying part of the antler.
It looks like the cutler shoukd have ground the stag for a seamless fit against the steel instead of filling it with glue. Or used more glue.
Thanks. Do you think this is able to be repaired? e.g. disassemble the scale and fix then assemble again?😂

Nice Lamb JJ 😊👍
Thanks a lot, Jack!!! :)
Heading back to Leeds via Scarborough today. Be glad to get home! 😁 Have a good day folks 👍

Northwoods Esky Zulu. Will we ever see these made again? You never know with Bill Howard. He might bring them back for the owner of the Northwoods brand, Knives Ship Free. However, I have been told that he personally hates this Zulu blade shape and consequently dislikes the pattern. In my opinion, it ranks as one of the top five most beautiful GEC knives ever made. Oh well, different strokes….
This zulu is superb. 😍
You really have some beautiful pieces in your drawers. 🫶
Well, concealed means concealed.😎

I heard Nascar was finished when they mandated restrictor plates. 😗

“when we get married”…
Joey, you can’t say she didn’t warn ya!

Cannot argue with that. I use my No.10 almost every day in the garden.
I love the genius of the design.

beautiful moment. :)
I like the knife with the wooden handle. Simple, useful and undoubtedly sturdy.
Too bad it's got its important markings.

Eye test at the hospital (not again),coffee and haircut carry.

Back home new file and minor jobs carry.
I couldn't clean my old file even with a file card cleaner.
This one seems pretty good and a very good price as well, not heard of the make before but good reviews.
Cleaning the edge on my old prying screwdriver, its better but needs a little more work (had to not push it with my hand).

I never heard of the Faithful file either. They look like they know their onions.
Maybe the old faithful could become a knife.

I went to this yesterday.
