But dangit ~ looking at their website, it looks like the steam engine rides are not running today.

They have a long stretch of desicated track, maybe 15 or 20 miles, on an old right of way through the corn and beans. Takes a good hour or so.
EDIT: Ok, so it seemed longer, but the spur they run on is a shade under five miles one way. The steam engine wasn’t running, but they were giving rides on an electric train from the old Chicago Milwaukee line, built in 1926. Zips along at 40mph, which gives the illusion of much faster, but these were famous for making that run between Chi and Mil at 80 mph.
