Been a long time since I read or heard about the North American Hunting Club. I was a member when I was a teenager. The Sabot for a while. The Queen needs its oil refreshed, and the hunter is a bit much for my pocket, even with the single blade.

The big one was made in China exclusively for the members of the North American Hunting Club. I ground off a huge cosmetic flaw above the nail nick.
You made me google them. Looks like they went under about seven years ago.Been a long time since I read or heard about the North American Hunting Club. I was a member when I was a teenager.
People were serious about buttons back in the day. Really neat stuff, including a little pin with the red cross and "I Serve" on it. Apparently Grandma rolled bandages for soldiers in WWII. I did have to sort out a bunch of celluloid ones that were crumbling. You've reminded me of my grandma's button box RachelMy mother had one too, lots of interesting stuff in there!
Hope you're having fun with your mom

Usually the modified #49. It's now a single blade due to a backspring breaking.

I can see why you love the old Kabar. That worn bone is gorgeous. Thanks Steve, The Krack a Jack needs to be carried more, the KABAR is one of my favorite vintage knives, solid with no play whatsoever, centered in the well and just gets scary sharp. Nice duo your sportin today

Yes! You missed a lot of good knives, and some of my TLDR rambling.Hello, Porcheteers! Did I miss anything?
Mom's been visiting and she brought some old stuff for us to look through, including Grandma's old button box. I found a few interesting things.
@RickHuf , you're from the 'Burgh, right? I don't know if you're old enough to remember these.

I love the German wirehaired pointer. We had one when I was a kid. Such cool dogs.
Glennbad did the mod. We looked for replacement springs but at the time, zilch. I must admit it is very slim and carries well.Jim’s been making me nervous with those knife in the boat photos for a long time

Ouch! Glad you did not lose the Peanut.
I always carry a peanut or similar sized knife in my watch pocket. And did lose a little Schrade jack through a hole I didn’t realize was there. When I commented on the loss here, two fine Porchsters offered to replace it as a gift!
