What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

🀣 Truth!

Thanks, guys! I kept walking past it at the antique mall and finally decided it would be worth the gamble. I guess it was calling to me.
For me part of the appeal is the fitted case.
It seems like I used to buy a little drafting set almost every time I went into a stationery store.

Thanks a lot JJ, couple of beautifully-matched blue-collar pocket pals there, my friend :)
Many kind thanks, Jack!!! :)

I hope you had an awesome Market day Jack! You certainly brought an awesome pair of hard working beauties to help with those great market treats! :)

Thank you Bart. I hope all is well on the west coast.
Thanks Bob. All is well in my part of the west coast. It’s a little hot, it’s been over 100 all week but I don’t mind the heat. I just feel bad for my kids who are practicing sports in the afternoon heat. I hope everything is equally as good (but cooler) for you on the east coast.
That stag knife with the red shield looks amazing, Jon. I don’t know if I’ve seen one of those before.

A proper English knife today, with my other standard pocket litter

Schrade 893 today. I don’t carry this knife frequently for some reason but I do like it.

Nice knife β€” nice tobacco. 😎
Thanks. Thousand years ago when smoking, only really liked a pipe, my favourite was Balkan Sobranie Flake in beautiful flat green tins but would have the black&white Sobranie and the yellow one with Cigar leaf added. Used to have loads of tins but most were thrown out of course, see they fetch a tidy sum on the Bay now ;) as apparently do GEC knives...although sometimes wonder if some are false bids/sales made by friends to force up prices and 'interest' ??

Micarta is an excellent compliment to Traditional knives, tough yet beautiful and that SFO shows it off well, good Spear helps too
