although sometimes wonder if some are false bids/sales made by friends to force up prices and 'interest' ??
Shill bidding is common - on ANYTHING at that site.
Another reason I won't use it. I suspect Shill bids are common place on all auction sites, including the "live" auctions. 😡

I know for a fact they are at live auto auctions. A guy bidding on a 57 Chevy rag top got taken to the cleaners for $154,000. 😡
One of the guys that walk the floor during the bidding stood behind me yelling "YEP" for the higher bid like I was bidding, starting at $49,000. Auction guy told me "Don't worry. You won't win. The auctioneer knows you're not bidding. (well DUH! I didn't have a bid card! Even if I wanted to bid on something, I couldn't!) We're just upping the bid to what he is willing to pay. I think He'll go a bit higher than this."

Same auction tried to screw my boss on a car. ("custom" 1970 Corvette "roadster" with no top and cut-down to 8 or 10 inch tall windshield. Shill bid it to $283,000. I saw what was going on, and told her "STOP!!! NO ONE IS BIDDING AGAINST YOU! It's a scam, the auction is shill bidding you! If you "win" refuse the car because of their shill bids that started around $80,000.) Thankfully she listened. She stopped when the shill went over her last bid.
(a fair weather, must be garaged impractical P.O.S. car at best. No top. Any precipitation ... with no top or side windows ... and no possibility of a top ... the AC and heat may as well not been there ... The guy that "customized" it ruined a perfectly "good" low mileage (supposedly under 3000 miles) classic 427 Corvette convertable ... if it really was a factory 427 Corvette ... They never claimed "Numbers Matching" so I have my doubts ...)

Nothing on the schedule except pool this afternoon. A screwdriver is occasionally required to tighten the bridge head.

For those that may not know, a pool cue bridge is an aid for long shots, or shots at bad angles. An increasingly used tool as we turn into geezers who don't bend so good no more 😬
