What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Really digging this one and its just a RR dogleg jack but is really nice for a 20 dollar knife! Plus it came with the dog whistle! Also ol' Faithful

"Blues' Trapper" in stag & forged W2 by ABS master smith Don Hanson

 Don makes a great knife.

Was lucky to pick up a first run Charlow for a friend named Tom, last name starts with a C. First barlow I have ever owned, wasn't a fan. But after getting this one and looking it over, had to order more. Not sure which skew to give my bro, so giving this one a test drive today.

Beautiful, Elliott!
Those lines are awesome and the stag is to die for.

For the first part of the day it was the Genuine Barlow on the top. And now It's the Tom's Choice on the bottom...

I slipped this 4 1/4" CV Case 6375 Large Stockman with amber jigged bone covers in my pocket this morning. It's the first time I've really carried it for any length of time so I thought carrying it among coins and keys today and this upcoming week would season it a bit and get it scratched up and perhaps dirty.

Slightly modern take on the 'oldest' known folding knife desgn :)

Svord peasant, with a modded blade and tasty pink scales! ;)

Took the dogs out to swim, time for a beer. These two have been with me all day. Put a pretty good ding in the Turkish walnut, it is not stabilized.

New to me GEC half congress.

Nice one pipedreams. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I think the deluxe congress is the only batch they made where they put the model number on the secondary blade.

I changed down a size for this evening. A few drams of Black Bottle in the eternal daylight of a western isles summer. Lovely.ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21371336623.433632.jpg

Nice one pipedreams.

Absolutely!

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong....

Not usually a problem, 'round these here parts. :D

...but I think the deluxe congress is the only batch they made where they put the model number on the secondary blade.

Do you mean, the entire pattern number is on the smaller blade? All one side, or front and back? In-teresting.

Update: okay, you made me look.

On my '13 Conductor Whittler, the pattern number is divided between the two secondary blades, 331 on the back of the coping blade and 313 on the back of the pen.

On my two-bladed '13 Pemberton, the entire pattern number is on the secondary pen blade, but only three numbers at a time-- 061 on the front, 213 on the back.

...For however this feeds into your observations to date. :)

That's a beauty Kris. I'm curious, isn't the edge now pretty serrated with such a deep etch on a scani grind?

Haha, my first thought was: 'That's a trapper, not a sunfish' :D
But yes, it is an amazing knife.

Wink, wink Sunfish Forge :-)
