That´s a great looking setup, Sam. the fixed blade as well as the GEC is great looking :)

Thanks Andi, the fixed blade is Bark River's take on a knife called the Recluse by Andy Roy of Fiddleback Forge. Although Andy's knives are beautiful, Bark River have the edge when it comes to a convex grind IMHO.

I'm enjoying how the Cody Scout is ageing and the contrasts between the patina, brass and wood:)

Here you go P, it's a miata covered in mirrors.

My goodness! I've never seen anything like it. I wasn't far off track, after all. Thanks. :)

I sometimes forget how nice these little knives are. I believe for normal (not extreme) duty I could use one of these all the time. Although the sheepsfoot angle looks a little weird on this knife, it is actually quite optimum for the pattern and makes it quite comfortable and handy to use.

Thanks, Ed! I appreciate the picture, and your further impressions. Now seeing the blade, I may have seen one like it before? These knives have such interesting angles, I might not have readily identified the above as "sheepsfoot" before.

I carry this when I feel like remembering old days spent in hard work, with like-minded people, in the sun.
Reminds me of someone I admired when I was young.

I switched from earlier today, I was gifted my Father's Day present early, I am a happy man, my wife & daughter picked out another beauty #92 Eureka Jack in antique green jigged bone, also came with a free moccasin pocket sheath from Derrick at KSF, very nice touch.

THIS! The grail has landed. Never thought I'd get my paws on this knife. I did though, thanks to a member here, not sure if he wants his name shared or not. Anyway, it's my grail, and now it's in my pocket. This one's gonna be a hard one not to carry.
