What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful scales! What did you send it in for?
Thank you, sir! I've got to agree!

Nothing too major - pull on both blades was pretty intense, I'd rate it an 11(maybe even a 12), which I believe resulted in another minor issue, but as an interestingly configured 2-blade and single-spring sunfish with an absolute unit of a spring, I feel it somewhat comes with the territory. If I were a collector first and user second, I may not have noticed or cared - but for me, everyday utility is of the utmost priority and I couldn't see myself carrying it regularly with such a stout pull.

I'm not certain why Daniel's Family Knife Brands aren't the recipient of as much attention as some more high-profile manufacturers, but in my opinion - both in product quality and customer commitment - they regularly match, and often exceed, some more well-known outfits. I consider myself lucky to have a number of their recent offerings and hope to add more in the future. This latest experience only serves to further solidify that desire.

Your words made me reflect for a minute, Joey. Times have changed…
I got into traditional knives because in the ‘60s and ‘70s that’s all there was. Sabre fish knife, Imperial Cub and Boy Scout knives, Imperial sheath knife, and after lawn mowing money, and early part-time jobs, Camillus and Schrades.
Diverted to “modern” pocket knives with pocket clips, thumb studs, and “tactical” blades for some years, before coming home to trad knives.
Same.

Not trying to be a jag or anything... But...

Personally I think it's from low effort retail and marketing. They have an obscure group of retailers consisting of Facebook, eBay, appk, websites built in 1995, etc. I haven't seen anyone promoting these and at the price it's not something I'm going to just grab on a whim.

Just my opinion. I do want one and will eventually figure it out. That new wine mixer lambsfoot looks gorgeous!

Your sunfish is out of control, too! Beautiful.

Sweet old knife, my amiga!
I left my cheaters in the garage, and cannot make out the stamp.
Schrade Walden USA. :)👍

Thanks, Jack! Have fun at the market. You'd better eat that chip butty before Tools Man sees it. 😉
