Stellar pairing Steve

Great pic Paul

Looks like an interesting place to visitOn my way to the Hellfire caves (yes its a real thing and you can explore) on my motorbike today I came across a new cafe nearby.
I had a cream tea as its coming to the end of the summer.
One of the staff from Thailand a girl called Tan-ya (I think it was) was telling me about her country and the warm winters 30c and mountains near where she's from.
Now if I could get my bike out there I wouldnt have to endure another wet winter in England
This 86 is fast becoming my go to bike knife, which is why I bought it as it’s stainless.
Oh and the cream tea was delicious.
"Hellfire Caves, which were tunneled into the earth here in the 18th century at the behest of local landowner Francis Dashwood. This rural idyll, nestled in the Chiltern Hills in a well-to-do corner of England, seems an unlikely setting for British members of parliament to engage in blasphemous mock-religious rituals and bacchanalian orgies. But that is exactly what was on the menu for the Hellfire Club, a society of blue-blooded rakes who gathered here in the mid-18th century.
Their number included the cream of society: among the members listed on a plaque in the caves were a dozen MPs, the First Lord of the Admiralty, the son of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and a certain Benjamin Franklin, who spent many years from the 1750s–1770s in London, originally as a representative of the Pennsylvania Assembly. Dashwood himself, the group’s leader, was the Chancellor of the Exchequer–the second most powerful political figure in Britain."
Nothings changed then

Many thanks JJA couple of wonderful Wednesday slicers to prep some fine eats topped off with some tasty relish!![]()

Sheffield's secretI’ve seen the Henderson’s relish referenced here a bunch of times. I finally looked it up tonight to see what it is. It sounds a lot better than the “relish” name implies![]()

Always an excellent choice, and well-captured there my friendI carried my ancient barlow today.

I'm very proud of my (previously) pristine 100 year old Bread Knife, but a freak accident this morning caused it to fall from the knife rack, bounce off some kitchen roll, and deposit it in the electric toaster, which was in use at the time!

Carrying my K'roo Waboom Lamb today, and a French Alpin
