What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Having a cigar for my last night shift this hitch. Camillus 23 I got a couple weeks ago.
It’s a sorta strange knife. I was under the impression they were all carbon steel, but both blades on this one are stainless. Oddly enough it seems that one back spring is carbon as it is patinaed to a motley black while it’s mate it shiny as a new nickel.

Have a great day everyone :)

A couple of wonderful Wednesday slicers to prep some fine eats topped off with some tasty relish!😋:thumbsup:

A very nice pair of Robeson's JJ.👌

Nice catch Bart. 👍🏻That BIG Krein is a perfect companion it seems.
Thanks Bob. Is around a 12” machete, that’s how big the fish was😁

Nice horn on that ettrick. I haven’t seen one of those with horn before.
Nice bass
Thanks. I caught several and that was the biggest.
Nicely done Bart. Glad to see you taking some time to do some fishing. 😎👍
Thanks, Todd. It was fun to catch a few. Makes me want to go back out.
Have a great day everyone :)

I’ve seen the Henderson’s relish referenced here a bunch of times. I finally looked it up tonight to see what it is. It sounds a lot better than the “relish” name implies 👍

And I am impressed with your woodworking skills, as well. Those inlays are difficult.
Yes, we did get some of that delightful rain! I was picking beans with my waxed boonie hat on to keep my head dry😁
Well thank you Jeff. They don't make music but they ought to hold together (if not I used hide glue on the cracks so it's serviceable, unlike modern yellow glue).
I need one of those hats like yours, very practical in this climate. Army surplus?

Very cool project you did, FC. I really like the Micarta one. Looks like you used some vintage stuff. Awesome knives as usual also👍
Thankee Bart! T'was some 90's Westinghouse, so the bark was pretty thin and sanded off for the most part. Some time and UV exposure should restore it? The varnish, so far, has not. Glad somebody got some fishing time in. I'm gonna remember your tiny knife fish photo trick ;)
Can’t believe I slept on this for so long
Nor I, sir! But now I see why the Grinling is so sought-after. Darn rabbit holes...

Thanks Bart....I just knew that fish was a 24 inch keeper.😅
I carried my ancient barlow today.
