What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This little fixed blade is very nice, and the handle is superb. What kind of wood is it?
Thanks for the kind words my friend . It is a pretty handy knife for what I do . You will have to ask sunknife sunknife what the wood is used for the handle . It is a pretty comfortable to use handle . That knife is probably a little bigger than you think it is .

Do you watch a lot of Sesame Street? 🤓

I got my degree from Sesame Street University. 🤓
Very nice traveling companions Jon.👌
They look good and don’t cause drama. Ahhhhhhhhhh.
You could have worse companions
Sometimes it’s nice to travel with companions who can’t talk back 👌🏼.
Temp has dropped to highs of 90°F +/-, back to walking without dropping due to heat. Yay. Companions for today. Cross-post from traditionals and watches.

Lookin sharp Gordon! That’s down right fall-like for your neck of the woods 😂. Down in the low 80’s here. A beautiful day.

Low 80s sounds wonderful.

We're high desert-ish here at 4500' +/-, it gets cool in winter with snow on occasion when the moisture is timed right.

First year since I've been here that the heat kicked my arse. Injured my lower left leg this spring, by the time I could go walking again the heat had already built. I normally walk all year and get acclimatized through spring into summer and the heat doesn't bother me as long as I stay hydrated. It stuck me mostly inside about 3.5 months this year. Now I have a lot of walking to do to rebuild strength and endurance.

The dog was crying a lot this morning, even though it was raining and she does not usually like the rain. I took her out anyway and thought it may be an opportunity to practice wet weather fire lighting. I took along a German no name penkife and a fixie. The penknife is one of my favourites, the no name knife serves very well for general purposes, cutting rope, sandwiches, boxes etc. I get a shaving sharp edge from the medium norton with a nice toothy bite, even without any stropping. I didn't get the chance to practice fire-lighting, the Zippo got wet.

Nice pairings gents :)
Ixl swayback will get to ride along with my congress for a day or two.

I might be becoming an IXL fan. This looks to be the same age as a couple already in the pile and all of them are awesome. Guess I'll have to search for an IXL lamb of similar vintage.... 😁
