Hope that rain fell slow so it had proper time to fully absorb. Garden looks great. Two + inches of rain yesterday, and the land is happy. The grass is soft under my moccasins, and everything in the garden is dripping with dew.View attachment 2325815
Harry thought I’d like this old Barlow, so he made me take it for keeps.
He’s a nice man.
Lots of times when I tote an antique with really nice bone, I’ll use a slip from @JohnDF to keep from cracking it. But this old girl is built pretty sturdy. View attachment 2325820

Nothin’s happened yet, but I have enough knives in case it does.View attachment 2325817
Well now you can spey and clean hoofs in style Paul.
This little fixed blade is very nice, and the handle is superb. What kind of wood is it?Fine Sunday this was today . Got a much needed 1.3 " of rain last night and this morning , then it turned sunny and the turkeys came .

I then decided to carry these 2 .
A fixed blade that was gifted by @sunknife and a Northfield 782117 serial #70 . The 78 was an SFO by one of the GEC dealers that was at the 2018 Rendezvous and I was able to buy the last one of the 98 that were made in 2017 and released in 2018 . I maybe have carried it but never used it . The covers are Tortoise Shell acrylic .

Yeah...Yeah. I'm a manly man......not. Probably won't use them for anything other than cutting up my orange and apple for lunch lol.Well now you can spey and clean hoofs is style Paul.![]()
A fine quartet of knives Gordon, I especially appreciate your Case.![]()
I'd call it a stockman. Also, have to wonder it the pen blade didn't start life as something else, like a spey perhaps. Or its just a well used pen.I'll likely never catch up on these postings, but I thought I'd drop in and check some out before posting my own carrys-of-the-day.
Along with my Elk scaled Buck 112 on my hip, and the trusty Redbone 303 Cadet in my left-front pocket, this little Solingen number has been hanging around in my watch pocket this past week or so. Taking walks in the park and on the nature trails offers some satisfactory photo backdrops, as well as a great cardio-pulmonary workout. All three are acompanying me again today.
Regarding this Solingen 3-blade, can anyone tell me just what pattern this knife would be called? 2-3/4" closed length, with Clip, Pen, and Coping blades. It has two parallel backsprings.
