What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That’s big, indeed. But supremely useful for almost any job. Hope you can bond with it.
And yes, that Schrade steel takes an incredible edge.
Mine has not darkened as yours has. And it’s easy to tell the handles are Black Walnut. Yours may be the same under that “patina”??
Thanks for the reply! It is very very useful!

I think this one is the cocobolo. It's listed with that wood in the older catalogs. When it came to me, the covers were chipped up and very rough. I sanded from 150-400 and then polished with red rouge... there's no patina left. It polished up really well like rosewood. Very hard.

Here it is next to the other one, which seems like walnut to me. Very pretty covers on both.

These things are very exceptional for a hard working "utility" style knife. The wood, the fit and finish, everything is excellent. The pull is perfectly smooth. SW really put a good effort into these knives.

Its the #384 Bunny Knife today. I am coming down with something nasty. Going to take it easy and hope that I can kick whatever this is quickly. Hope everyone else is having a good week!
