Thanks, Bob ~ you as well as usual!Other than the heat, sounds like a fruitful visit. The water up here requires a wetsuit now Jeff.
Nice choice of knives. Is that your companion duck peeking out?
I’m sorry, but those details are lost in the moldy recesses of my memory. You’ll understand when you get my age, kid.We used to go to Long Beach Island every summer when I was a kid! Was "The Shack" still there the last time you went?

Today's carry is an old Corliss:

One could make a strong case for honoring that old boy by putting it to use.
Hey! I love the Hawkbill!
But in any case, it’s good to have you back, Stuart.
Whenever I realize a regular has not posted in a while, I say a quick prayer that they are ok. Sometimes, as Jack said, they have passed, and other times they’ve suffered a life changing event as you have. Please accept my condolences in the loss of your dear wife, and thank you for letting us know about it ~ and for re-joining us.
I’m glad you’re happy now, and squared up with your new life. I went through that when we lost our son. It takes time, but happiness returns. Now, I see an expression on my daughter’s face that’s a dead ringer for her late brother, and I get a warm memory. I hope you’re at that point as well.
Did you post that bonus picture of your 293 just for me?
Pardon my ignorance, Paul, but your photo makes it look like the new BF knife is the same size frame as the Orchard Gem.
Taking each one on a case by case basis, each one is a standout.
Couple of nice ones, my friend. You can probably get by without a blade with a little belly on it.
Classic Jack, Jose’.
Put a nail nick in place of the long pull, and I could mistake it for a Voos Jack.
Nice pair for an autumn walk.
I see you’re from my home state ~ for better or worse. I’m a little west of Woodstock, east of Rockford, not far from the Wisconsin line. What part of the state are you in?
Nice knife, and beautiful plant.
That’s big, indeed. But supremely useful for almost any job. Hope you can bond with it.
And yes, that Schrade steel takes an incredible edge.
Mine has not darkened as yours has. And it’s easy to tell the handles are Black Walnut. Yours may be the same under that “patina”??
Sweet....hope you are not raking yet!
Wha a beauty John. Great to see youGood Morning Porch

Sort of ironic that these are the candies the school chooses to put in our “diabetic snacks” bags.View attachment 2359956

That you know of.
The video may win the ten grand prize on 'AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS' for someone you don't know?
(is that show still on?)
(BTW, No signed photo/video release is necessary or required, provided your face (not sure about any identifying tats you my have.) cannot be seen clearly ... or if the local "news" broadcast recorded and aired it as part of their report on beach and surf/wave conditions.)
I have been neglectful Jeff. Thanks, Bob ~ you as well as usual!
Trying to recall you showing off some gnarly old users, but I can’t
Yep. Ducky is now retired from bathtub duty. He partially survived a stnt as a bb gun target for my boys when they were younger hellions, and now resides by a stump. I check on him once in awhile.
The covers are ironwood....a jakeywax31 special.Gorgeous pair Bob. What is the CL recovered in?
One evening as the sun went down
