Potent pair of Barlows to kick off the week, Jack!:cool::thumbsup:

Back from several days in the woods with family. These were my two paring knives for all campsite kitchen duties.

That's a fancy Five Oh Tee, Jon!:cool::cool:
I have one of the current Chinese versions that I'm very fond of.

Thanks kindly Gary.

The only guarantee I received, was to be on the course in two months.🤔
Perhaps I can get him to cover my loses for awhile.😃
On the course in 2 months is a guarantee With which I'd be very happy, Bob.:thumbsup::cool:
My guess is your health insurance (unless it's original Medicare) will cover wagers during your rehab. 🤓
I recall a recent post in which you said you're moving to a cane soon. Will that be an actual cane, or will you just hold a 5 iron by the head and use the shaft as your support?

Beautiful brace of black bareheads, David!:thumbsup::cool:

Well, the Bucs took it on the chin yesterday. 🤕
I have the day off today so I’m getting it started off in my favorite way. 😉👍

Sorry about the Bucs loss, Todd; we Lions fans are unsure how to handle this season's results so far. o_O
Your knife duo is hotter than your fire pit!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Picked this up really cheap at a garage sale, and haven't really researched it (or cleaned it) yet. Just the obvious- it's a German made Bulldog brand.
As a "canoesseuer", I really admire that breathtaking Bulldog canoe!:cool::thumbsup:

I have been after a number 9 or 10 large Opinel for a while.

This old no 9 I bought at the Sharp show (that I cleaned up a little) will make a great garden knife.

Congrats on your big Opinel, John!:cool::thumbsup:
I have a couple of Opinel No. 8s, but I probably won't get a bigger model.

I'm not usually a big fan of clip blades, nor do I typically carry full size trappers, but that certainly is a handsome knife!!:cool::cool:

Carried these 2 to coffee and lunch and then outside yard work .

Added these 2 to the lawn tractor toolbox for the yard work Grohmann Bird & Trout and a gift from @sunknife

Then about 5:00 P.M. Fed Ex delivered something that my wife ordered exactly one week ago from @Will Power 's country of Finland

Very Pleased with this knife .

Harry
Congrats on the new Puukko, Harry! Quality quintet of knives in your post!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, GT. Just trying to keep up.

Keep up? I think you're getting ready to lap the field!:thumbsup:🤓

Very appealing slim lockback with outstanding bone/jigging!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Both are formidable, GT.
Thanks, Stuart. :)

Looks useful Gary
That big Italian sheepsfoot is one of my favorites, Jack. :)

Recently, @waynorth Charlie initiated a very rewarding thread about GEC's early years which is also an important reference point.

Dug out one of the Old Golds to carry and use today, most of my early GECs are 'useless' in that they've been in use and therefore no longer mint, desirable, scarce and coveted by the collector..... Actually, they're rarer and there's one less in the US due to me :D

Drop point blade and aged stag bone make that a superb knife, Will!:cool::thumbsup:

Good morning Gary,
I hope all is well.. Good old Medicare gave me a good nondescript cane. If I can convince my wife for a moment of freedom, I may just ride with friends in cart....and keep score.

Jack Black Jack Black ~ Thank you!
I do love to travel, and going someplace new to me is certainly fun. It’s a big world.
But flying, and renting a car is such a miserable ordeal, that I’d rather soend the extra time to just drive. As long as Vik is still working, she just can’t take off enough time to drive, though, so we had to submit to flying.

Two years ago, going to visit the kids in Colorado, I drove out there with my daughter, letting Vik fly. Then, I was there to pick her up at the airport.
Old Engineer Old Engineer ~ Harry, something told me you weren’t going to wait until next March for the Badger Blade Show to get your paws on a Puuko. 😉

How do you like it so far? I mean, have you put it to work yet? I already know it looks sweet.

You’ve really McMastered the skill of symmetry and proportion. 🤙
I picked Delrin for the trappers and a Russlock due to not many other scales offered with CV at the time.
I know…
The ugly stepchild Delrin takes a back seat to natural scales when it comes to looks, but it’s beauty comes out when you drop it on concrete, and nothing happens to it😬

Plus, smooth Delrin does get a really comfy silky smooth feel the more you use it.

Can I assume this is your new M&G you were waiting for? Very nice.
What is the spring arrangement? Split back?

Yup. Even though I personally use every knife I have, I respect those who try to keep some pristine.
I know you’ll enjoy that one, Alan.
I’m joining you in totin the big S&W. I simply love that knife.
Tell me about the smaller one. It it a re-handled Camillus or Klein?
Locking Knife of the Week is an Opinel No. 7 (although I seldom use the lock):

I do the same with Opinels, Gary. But only for a quick slicing cut, like harvesting lettuce. But be sure to lock it any time you’re doing a push cut!

Ok. Now that you’ve worn it in just right, never open it again! 😁

That K'roo is interesting  An otnat blade in a gunstock frame. How long is it?

It’s 4” closed. He calls it a native blade, but it really is a creation of his own IMO. The swedge is very distinctive. The knife as a whole is not something that is going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but this combo is something that I have particularly liked for a long time. It is wonderful in hand and impeccably made.

I tried editing my post I see aouto correct turned bobby probert into bobby property.but when I press edit only picture came up for editing.no disrespect intended property. rip
