(Bone?)Stagurday … toting this Bonsa that I got at yesterday’s sale. It’s in need of a good cleaning and the scissors are missing the spring, but otherwise it’s in decent shape. I don’t know much about Bonsa other than they were in Solingen and ceased operations in 1982.
Such a great little knife. How is the lockup on yours? I had to in the past, but let them go because their lock ups were terribly sloppy. Definitely a knife I would add back if I found one for the right price and especially now that I know you can peen on the tang a touch to firm up the lock up.View attachment 2363024
Fancy lanyard coming soon...
Nice brace of cutlery John.Good Morning Porch

It's solid! Zero up and down, and very, very slight (negligible) side to side. I honestly never knew it was an issue until I read about it being one. Guess I got lucky! As I would expect, a high quality spread of GEC and Case.

I wish I could have raised a few with you Wayne.Good evening Porchsters,
Tricky day today, this morning I had forgotten it was the wife's birthday, I had bought a card earlier in the week though so that potential catastrophe didn't materialize.I had planned on finishing two small fixed blades for my sons friends but had to back track and go out for the day.![]()
All was not lost as we found a nice farm shop with home reared beef and some lovely baked goods, this was one of the nicest Pork Pies I have had for a while, and I consider myself a connoisseur.

We ended up a short drive away in a seaside town by the name of Southport and called the a pub for a pint. Imagine my joy when a beer festival was taking place with brews from all over the country, one in particular caught my eye as its a favourite and I always imbibe when available. Today, however, this had a special meaning and I toasted my good mateRufus1949 and wished him good health and a speedy recovery! A legend of a man.
