Beautuful fall morning. Hope ya’ll have a great day!

I had a long string of quoted posts to comment on, but I got the dreaded “Oops, we ran into some problems!” message. And when I reloaded the page, they were gone.

Anyway, nice knives, everybody!

We're gonna do a final walk-through of the property today and secure everything for the winter. The weather guy said it might snow this coming Monday so, we'll see where that goes. This Bull Nose should be all I'll need today but we all know I'll be carrying more than one. Sausage and eggs for breakfast.

Good Morning Porch
Today, I'll give you all a shot of my most carried (non-Lambsfoot) knives.

As I would expect, a high quality spread of GEC and Case 👏🏼👏🏼.

A little later start this morning, but then it was a little late last night. 😉👍View attachment 2362991

(Bone?)Stagurday … toting this Bonsa that I got at yesterday’s sale. It’s in need of a good cleaning and the scissors are missing the spring, but otherwise it’s in decent shape. I don’t know much about Bonsa other than they were in Solingen and ceased operations in 1982.
That sale treated you right my friend! Great finds.

Fancy lanyard coming soon...
Such a great little knife. How is the lockup on yours? I had to in the past, but let them go because their lock ups were terribly sloppy. Definitely a knife I would add back if I found one for the right price and especially now that I know you can peen on the tang a touch to firm up the lock up.

It's solid! Zero up and down, and very, very slight (negligible) side to side. I honestly never knew it was an issue until I read about it being one. Guess I got lucky! 👍🏻 The perfect "small" knife, IMO.

Good evening Porchsters,

Tricky day today, this morning I had forgotten it was the wife's birthday, I had bought a card earlier in the week though so that potential catastrophe didn't materialize.I had planned on finishing two small fixed blades for my sons friends but had to back track and go out for the day. :)

All was not lost as we found a nice farm shop with home reared beef and some lovely baked goods, this was one of the nicest Pork Pies I have had for a while, and I consider myself a connoisseur.

We ended up a short drive away in a seaside town by the name of Southport and called the a pub for a pint. Imagine my joy when a beer festival was taking place with brews from all over the country, one in particular caught my eye as its a favourite and I always imbibe when available. Today, however, this had a special meaning and I toasted my good mate Rufus1949 Rufus1949 and wished him good health and a speedy recovery! A legend of a man.

I wish I could have raised a few with you Wayne.🍻

A partly cloudy day here in the City by the Bay! Just got back from my weekly pilgrimage to the grocery store. Along for the ride the usual lamb and little SAK. I’m watching so football and baseball and will head down to Redwood City with my beautiful bride to babysit our grandson this evening . Have a great weekend folks! 😀
