What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Doing well , thanks.👍🏻 First walk today.
Glad to hear you're getting about now Bob. Pain not *too* bad, I hope? Best wishes for you being 100% again soon.
I put the finishing touches on this sheath this morning, so I carried this one to work today.
Very nice sheath Bart! So the Tk-I is definitely a keeper? Glad you've come over to the fixed side - I do most tasks with a sheath knife, simply because it's quicker to draw and requires less fuss. I use the slipjoints *because* they require fuss. 🤔
Had a lot of green ash here that was exterminated by the EAB. Thanks to a friend with a Skid Steer and a sawmill, at least I have this…
Can't wait to see you on hoarders Jeff. Maybe they'll do a midwest episode? KC decided to preemptively remove ALL ash trees from city property a few years back, about a thousand of them. The slaughter was heartbreaking, especially since I had no way to hoard any of it in my 2k sq ft basement (with almost no room left for aisles). The Ash borers are quite the blight :(
Nice day outside for doing some light additional Fall work after coffee and then lunch with some friends . Then I applied some poly urethane to the walking stick project . One more coat and it will be done .
Love the walking stick Harry, kudos on a job well done!

Took my daughter over to see farmer Larry and pick out our annual carving pumpkin, and talked to him about getting more of his spoiled hay for my garden. He does not use any herbicides on his hay, and it’s getting real hard to find clean hay and straw anymore. The persistent herbicides they’re using so much now will kill the garden.

Also got my home made along.24236055-E99C-4399-940E-31675D2BEC6C.jpeg

I layered leaves and grass clippings with horse manure ~ my friend, Jose owns a beautiful farm on which he runs a horse boarding and training stables along with a small herd of black angus cattle. And he also does not spray his pastures and hayfields. That makes his manure safe to use. In case of horse medications in the manure, I always compost it and let it sit for a season before using it in the garden.
This compost pile built of layers of grass clippings, leaves, and manure heated up fast in three days. That helps kill weed snd grass seeds. A1EBCD51-7204-4B3D-88DB-211052D208D0.jpeg
Besides the main house, he’s got mobile homes in which his employees and their families live. When I go to get manure, I often take hot peppers and cilantro to show my appreciation,

I was over there Sunday getting manure, and watched two of the Mexican kids bringing the cattle in. But they didn’t realize the bull had been lagging behind. So as I was pulling out here comes this huge Angus bull trotting out into the front yarf. I whipped the car around, and skedadelled off to find the guys to let them know. You shoulda seen them scramble.
