Appologies.Hey Steve, that's a Case in the pic, not an Imperial.
I'll bet that's the first time somebody forgot what thread they were in and posted the wrong thingAppologies.
I was thinking this knife and I was in this thread:

RIP Earl!!Today was a pretty fun day. My work put on a Halloween themed party with all sorts of different things for kids to do. My portion of it involved me being a crazy hunter, who’s buddy Earl was eaten by a savage beast in the woods. The kids had to help me find the coyote with nerf guns. As they were hunting the coyote through the forest I would scare the daylights out of them with a duck call. I even got to wear a Helle knife as a prop with the bunny knife in my pocket. My co-workers all commented they think I had more fun than the kids. I reminded them I’m a 54 year old kid. This is all that was left of Earl…View attachment 2372185
I will miss him dearly, I was even able to muster a few tears to really sell itRIP Earl!!![]()
I sure hope it wasn't Earl Lee De Miszal that got critter et.This is all that was left of Earl…
I’ll take that as a good sign, because Mrs Rufus would not be asking you to anything beyond your recovery/rehab schedule.Good morning all...it's honey do day!!!View attachment 2371255
Agreed.Nice pairing Bob !
Congrats Jeff, Paul is a great guy !
Nice pair !
I remember that, Jon!Just a cutting board. I make them every now and then for folks. My wife gets first right of refusal. If she likes it, she keeps it on the hooks in her kitchen.

And you are right…the inmates run the asylum around here!
Great looking lamb sir! Stunning blue coat on that one!
Way to go Paul! Awesome gift as usual. Very thoughtful!
Good to see that one getting some solid reps. What a good knife!
I didn’t know what to tho k of these at first, and not all are super attractive IMHO, but yours is a looker! Very cool knife!
I’m telling you right now, crispy spam doesn’t get enough love. Especially if it is diced up in tiny little bacon bits.
This is where it’s at. I would roll like this but my brass knives would get jealous!
Mine too.My favorite time of year. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Thanks David. They got the job done.Good choices Bart!
Thanks Bob. It’s funny after I run them in a chute, squeeze them, and poke them with a couple needles, they don’t want anything to to with meTwo perfect carries Bart.
The herd seems alittle shy around your knives.![]()
What a great surprise, Jeff, and an awesome gesture, Paul.Let this be my testimony:
There be some fine folks on this porch.
I found a little box in my mailbox yesterday, when all I was expecting was bills, reminders to vote, and bad IRA quarterly reports. View attachment 2371262
Jakeywax31 sent this little token of friendship. Not “a” knife. THREE nice knives. Really appreciate it, Paul ~ gonna enjoy having and using these.
Totin two of them today ~ a Queen Country Cousin in amazingly smooth and comfy black delrin. Perfectly centered, and just a really well made little working knife!
The other is my second Schrade 175. And it has a Desert Storm commemorative handle, which again reminds me of my son. I agree, Paul ~ it must be kind of rare, because I’ve never seen one like it. Although he served in Operation Enduring Freedom, it was all part of the same war.
This knife appears factory fresh, so as I use it, I’ll take good care of it.View attachment 2371260View attachment 2371263View attachment 2371259
The end of season tomatoes don’t look too appetizing, unless you’re a fruit fly!
After I dismantled and took out the old upright piano, it left an empty place which Vik filled with an antique walnut sideboard. She’s already fhinking about hosting Thanksgiving dinner, which means I get chores.
And I waited til she left to dump my pockets on it…View attachment 2371261
Do not tell her I posed a guitar on it, ok?

Yes you can Jeff., the list is there. My hobble and wobble is much better.I’ll take that as a good sign, because Mrs Rufus would not be asking you to anything beyond your recovery/rehab schedule.
Either that, or you’re overinflating this honey do list!![]()
Not 1999.
Can't be.
The Imperial plant burned down in 1988. Production was moved to Ireland. All Imperial knives were all made offshore after the 1988 fire until the company went belly up in 2004. 1988 to 2004 Imperial tang stamp says "Made in Ireland"
Production never returned to the US.
(Also, some - but not all - Schrade knives were made in England following the 1988 fire, as well.)
Knife has a Providence USA tang stamp. I think it is a pre-1955 tang stamp. On the 1955 to 1988 tang stamp the "Prov. R.I." was vertical on the right edge, with "USA" horizontal under it, if memory serves.
Good info, though.Hey Steve, that's a Case in the pic, not an Imperial.
Thanks a lot palHope you had a great day, Jack. Awesome pair today!!!
