What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Not 1999.
Can't be.
The Imperial plant burned down in 1988. Production was moved to Ireland. All Imperial knives were all made offshore after the 1988 fire until the company went belly up in 2004. 1988 to 2004 Imperial tang stamp says "Made in Ireland"
Production never returned to the US.
(Also, some - but not all - Schrade knives were made in England following the 1988 fire, as well.)
Knife has a Providence USA tang stamp. I think it is a pre-1955 tang stamp. On the 1955 to 1988 tang stamp the "Prov. R.I." was vertical on the right edge, with "USA" horizontal under it, if memory serves.

It's a terrible quality picture. I was hoping it would look better. The sheepsfoot blade is serrated. I've never seen that before.
I love the knowledge y'all have. Take care. The clip blade used to have North American Fishing Club etched on the blade. It's still there, just faint. The Spey blade has life Member etched on it.

Good afternoon Porchsters,

I have been filled with a desire to study the Stockman pattern so I bought two, They are the first new knives I have bought in donkeys years. I am pleasantly surprised, The build is good on this one, though F&F has a few minor niggles, good user for the money. The scandi is marked N and is an unknown maker to me, but its the sharpest knife I own. Dog walk duty for these two before the football.

Today was a pretty fun day. My work put on a Halloween themed party with all sorts of different things for kids to do. My portion of it involved me being a crazy hunter, who’s buddy Earl was eaten by a savage beast in the woods. The kids had to help me find the coyote with nerf guns. As they were hunting the coyote through the forest I would scare the daylights out of them with a duck call. I even got to wear a Helle knife as a prop with the bunny knife in my pocket. My co-workers all commented they think I had more fun than the kids. I reminded them I’m a 54 year old kid. This is all that was left of Earl…View attachment 2372185
Now that you’ve let everyone at work know you’re a KNIFE GUY, you’d better start carrying a beater throwaway for the inevitable “Hey Jim, can I borrow your knife?”

A wonderful GEC ebony 15 boys knife (gift from r redden r redden a few years ago).
I love Manny, but he has his own cozy dog bed over on Mommy’s side of the bed.

Nice knife, Vince ~ straighforward, simple, and all ya need.

Totin the third of the knives Paul sent me, a sweet USA Made Winchester. Don’t let him know I was already a fan of the spey blade…
And another gifted knife, this old Barlow from Harry. It’s probably the oldest Schrade in my cigar boxes.
Sunday’s a good day to feel gratitude and be grateful for friends. Thanks, fellas!

Hope y’alls weekend is going great!

That's not handwritting, Jack. More like Neanderthal scribble. My school teachers would be ashamed 🤣.
LOL! :D I struggle to read my OWN sometimes Paul! 🤣 The badly-named Miss Kinder would have beaten me with a stick!
Thank you, Jack. I didn't know that kind of file was Sheffield-style. I've been keeping an eye out for one like that, because it's so cool looking.
I've seen a 'Sheffield nail file' and a 'Sheffield-style nail file' Rachel, which I think indicates it being the full width of the knife, and opening in that fashion. They are cool-looking :) I like the stamping on this one, but unfortunately the blades are stamped for Joseph Rodgers! :D

Thank you, my friend. :)

Nice to see the Charlie Lamb... He must have hand-picked that one for you, the bone is amazing! 🤠

If he did, he did a great job! :D Thanks John, Charlie really has had the cream of GEC's jigging  :)

Wonderful pair Jeff :)

The dogs don't sleep with us, Jeff. When I am home, that Chihuahua always sits next to me on the couch, covered with a blanket. The other Chihuahua is usually with my wife, unless she's gone, then I might put her on my lap (my Chihuahua doesn't like it!). The lab mix sits at my feet.

Jeff, they already know 😁 And that is why I carry a Victorinox Recruit in my work backpack…”you most certainly can borrow a knife, let me just get it out of my pack”

Wonderful pair Jeff :)
Thanks! I think so as well. Cannot take credit for them, I can go ahead and brag😁
And this one just for fun, going to see if i can use each blade today

Hey! That’s cool!
Five blade, five spring Case Peanut? What do they call it, Fatnut?😉
Can we see a view from the top?

Cheewawas are funny. My Brother In Law has one that takes One Man Dog to the extreme. Has to be in his lap🙄, and growls at anybody coming close.😁
