Glad nothing is brokenFell on the gravel driveway yesterday. Have a serious"Owie" on my elbow. Thankful I didn't break it. No trip to town today. This Remington is in one of my pockets today. Sausage and ?????? for breakfast.

Or down the stairs.I darn near tripped and took a spill running up some stairs a few days ago. I guess I shouldn't be running upsatirs at my age.
The Osage is aging well
Do you know what GEC calls that bone? Love the Winterbottomish jigging. They need to use it more oftenView attachment 2373838View attachment 2373837

Very true Chip, it's a classicMetal MondayThe Douk-Douk may have simple sheetmetal construction and a handful of parts but it all adds up to a VERY capable folder in a slim and trim package.

These 2 knives are quite different, but I suppose you folks could point out a couple of similarities between them.

Those two go together like bacon and eggs
A perfectly practical pairing Steve
We’ve been doing it for about 24 years although the church was doing it long before we started. If Mrs. Fleshwund is making apple sauce, you’ve got a good start for apple butter. If you do make apple butter, be sure to let us know how it turns out.I’m happy that you’re bonding with the Sabre, Jer!
I don’t remember ever seeing that Camillus Fish Knife before, but it’s awesome.
Thank you, Steve. I was pretty overwhelmed when Harry, @Old Engineer gave it to me! He knew I’d treasure it.
Bringin out the Big Guns, my friend. Thanks for the view!
That Horsewright is so fine…
I can relate to falling behind here, Gary. So much to do.
Great jigged bone on that Peanut, Mike.
I read you post about your church project to Vik. When I got to the part about how much sugar goes into it, she said “no wonder I like apple butter so much. Saturday, she stopped in at a small family’s orchard. It was their final day of the season, so she got a great deal, and loaded up. She “discovered” them last year, and likes to support a small, local Christian family’s venture.
She usually cooks up huge batches of applesauce to freeze, but maybe I’ll try canning up some apple butter??
How many years have you been doing this with your church family?
Greg, you remind me of the wise saying about performing music for an audience ~ “Don’t overplay. Always leave them wanting more”.
Instead of just a teaser, I’d love to see a full photo of your home made quiver.
I would have come home with that SAK in a hearbeat.
Where on earth did you find a real old time hardware store??? Those are sadly a dying breed.
You’re right, Mr. Charlie ~ that’s a super Jack!
Thanks for letting us see it.
Understand your affection for that big Shrade , buddy![]()
