That Horsewright is so fine…
I can relate to falling behind here, Gary. So much to do.I'm almost a week behind on this thread. We'll see if I can ever catch up, or if I just give up and jump up to this week.
I can imagine you'd be sad to see that one go, LT!
Very impressive; congrats!
Thanks, Steve.
Very classy knife!
Kind of you to say so, Jeff.I try to occasionally let folks know how much I admire their knives. Speaking of which, that's admirable wood on your Albers lambsfoot!
I'm of a generation that should be open to Castaneda's revelation of a Yaqui way of knowledge, but never read any of it. I was probably too busy at the time trying to understand the way of knowledge of my own culture.
Does the blacksmith on your Imperial remind you of your phlebotomists?
I really like the small print on the bolster of your Barlow almost as much as I like the small script on some Cattaraugus Barlows!
Thanks for the info about the covers of your flaming knife, Bob.
About the end of April, I put washing the windows of at least the main floor of our house on my spring/summer to-do list. October is almost finished and the windows are not.
Congrats on the return of those missing knives! The handle of the 110 looks really good.
Thanks for the info on your blade preferences, Greg. When I was a kid back on the dairy farm, I used the punch on my scout knife for all kinds of stuff. But as an adult in the city, I hardly ever use punch/awl blades other than for occasional scraping.
Very attractive handle on that knife, José!

Great jigged bone on that Peanut, Mike.Been around 40F and rainy all day. NASCAR on the TV. Scrambled eggs with green bell pepper, onions and jalepenos, Tennessee Pride hot sausage and whole wheat toast for lunch. Between making eggs and taking a shower, I feel pretty accomplished today
Oh yeah, took some pics too. Had a heck of time with the lighting. Finally decided the reflections are part of the pic. An artistic expression if you will

I read you post about your church project to Vik. When I got to the part about how much sugar goes into it, she said “no wonder I like apple butter so much. Saturday, she stopped in at a small family’s orchard. It was their final day of the season, so she got a great deal, and loaded up. She “discovered” them last year, and likes to support a small, local Christian family’s venture. These two today with two cans of the apple butter we made this weekend.

Greg, you remind me of the wise saying about performing music for an audience ~ “Don’t overplay. Always leave them wanting more”.Thanks my friend. Good to see ya back around here.(btw; my hand crafted knife slip from you is still getting a ton of use and aging well. Its my favorite and gets a lot of well deserved compliments from others I show it off to.)
Thanks Paul.My wife loves to decorate for halloween and has a pretty good collection of creepy items I can use for props.
Bloodwood 86 for me today. Have a pleasant Sunday folks.

I would have come home with that SAK in a hearbeat.Stumbled across this SAK ‘Astronaut’ in the back of a display case at a good old-fashioned hardware store. Based on what I’ve found, this started off as a Master Craftsman and was renamed Astronaut in the late-1980’s. It’s a pre-1991 version, so it’s more than likely been sitting there for 25+ years … it was time for it to go home!!

You’re right, Mr. Charlie ~ that’s a super Jack!Roughly my age (1940s), this knife looks a bit better than I do, but we get along fine; it's in my pocket today!!! Case XX big Jack - 6231 1/2 - genuine Redbone - 3 3/4" of Snappy walk and talk!!
Just worn and patina-ed enough to be used and carried without devaluing it!! Love it!!View attachment 2373130View attachment 2373132
