I couldn’t agree more on the Woodsman. A lot of folks complain about the relatively small handle, but it suits me just fine. I am not chopping wood with it!Isn’t the Buck Woodsman a great knife?
I wish mine had the old style sheath like yours. I am not a fan of the newer style with the stupid plastic liner and snap strap. Not only is it awkward to re-sheath one handed, the loose fit and platic liner makes it rattle.View attachment 2382423
Very nice, the demascus does not overwhelm the total design.
Yeah it's a nice little slippy almost raindrop style damascus, I've actually used this one pretty extensively.Very nice, the demascus does not overwhelm the total design.![]()
I’m with you on Perry Mason and Matlock. I just get the feeling when I see a Hallmark movie that I’ve seen it before, even if I’ve never seen it before. What I really prefer in a waiting room is no TV at all.And what’s wrong with Hallmark movies? That’s about all we watch.
That or Matock or Perry Mason.
Be happy it wasn’t HGTV.
"Flipper Bait" cracks me up every time!Good Morning Porch Sitters

That 2-blade Catt teardrop is outstanding (as are your nature photos)!!Took the day off to visit Boxley Valley near the Buffalo National River to see the elk while the rut was still going on. Missed the colors by a week. +View attachment 2378457
If I carry a handgun for self defense, and get it out if someone attacks me, doesn't my assailant also have the right to defend herself or himself as soon as I pull my gun? Or is it a case of, "Mom, HE started it!" (That "excuse" never went over well with my parents if I or any of my siblings tried it.)HIS FAULT!!!! If he had not shot at me I would not have drawn and shot at him!
Cherish the Churchill!
When my daughter was a kid and we'd watch Star Trek (of whatever vintage) together on TV, she'd always warn me, "Oh-oh, Dad, this looks like one of those time travel episodes that you think are so stupid!"All y'all have a good day and a good time travel![]()
Nice Ankermesser, ED!Watching it rain. Was gonna sit out in the yard in the sun but that's not happening now. I've got this Otter-Messer in my pocket and the Remington Prospector in a belt sheath. Sausage and ????? for breakfast.

Splendid pair, Steve!
I have several Peanuts, but I have a yellow pen knife just like yours, Bart, that I'd prefer to carry over any of my Peanuts.Morning coffee on the porch with my Case pen.

Maybe I'm weird, but for Case tang stamps, I always count the missing symbols (can you actually count what's missing?Go herehttps://www.casexx.com/Library/TangStamp.asp
P.S. should have mentioned that 1970 will have ten dots. Case takes one away for each year so a '78 would have two dots and a '79 one. Then in 1980 a new tang stamp is introduced. So on and etc.
Love the Schrades on parade, Jeff!
Didn't a lot of American knife companies make knives for the military during WWII that were only marked with USA?Oh, sorry. Interesting.
It puzzles me that people made fine knives without putting their name on them.
I'm a big fan of shields that are recognizable "real world objects"!John Lloyd Lannys clip in Micarta , love how this engraved shield turned outView attachment 2380258

Awesome knife, and first-rate photos!
Thanks for clarification Gary.

Thanks for the info, Todd. Your reasoning is basically what made me take up weekly carries way back when, and eventually go to a schedule that now lasts me more than a year at a time....
Thanks Gary. I just started last month. Carried the coffin jack and lamb for October, and enjoyed not having to think about it every morning so I’d thought I’d try it again this month.
That would’ve been a great idea!![]()
Exemplary ettrick, Bart!I carried my ettrick today pictured here on top of my Grandpa’s old fishing net.![]()
Well, we all had to start somewhere.
Yeah there are about three basic plots, all with slight variations. And as soon as the pretty girl realizes her slug boyfriend has to go, and Mr Right is right in front of her, and they kiss, that’s The EndI’m with you on Perry Mason and Matlock. I just get the feeling when I see a Hallmark movie that I’ve seen it before, even if I’ve never seen it before. What I really prefer in a waiting room is no TV at all.
This knife is NOT flipper bait ~ It’s a Keeper!Good Morning Porch Sitters

"Bad"?Only bad thing was that they keep the waiting room TV on Hallmark movies all the time.
Wonderful collection of sheep's feet.I've become a big fan of knives with a hefty sheepsfoot blade and a substantial wood handle:
