If you get a few minutes Jack will you post some pictures of the coining and filework on Stans knife, That looks absolutely amazing! how would you feel about a long pull on that style?Me too BarrettDespite what Google may say though, that's actually the back wall of the old Cossack pub, rather than The Howard, a little further down the road (Howard Street). It was a terrible shame that the mural was vandalised like that, and for no reason I can see (Harry Brearley was an absolute diamond)
Here the mural is with one of my few stainless Lambsfoot knives, by Stan Shaw

good pair of knives!
I literally just Googled "Wharnosaurus" to see if it was a thing.Well, I busted out the Case Copperhead Wharncliffe today. Best blade to use in a battle with your favorite herbivore (Stegosaurus) from the late Jurassic period... I guess...

Look at that feast! I’m sure SJ was on cloud nine to be eating waffles with her daddy. Well done Jeremy!Took the day off to spend the morning with my youngest ‘SJ’ on her birthday (now 4!). Breakfast at a diner at the old neighborhood that I hadn’t been to in about a decade.
Been carrying the cattle knife since Monday; it may stay in the pocket this whole week. With this amazing slip by @sbh06 to carry it, how can I not?

David, what a grouping for Wooden Wednesday.
Barret, vendors at the Blade Show never forget the guy who whipped out a big ‘ol wad of hundred dollar bills.
Thanks, Jack! Every time I see that photo of Harry Brearley, I think about the mural on the back of The Howard in Sheffield, which had sadly been vandalized by the time I visited. (If I remember correctly, it has since been replaced with something else.)
I don’t know why I didn’t take a picture of it when I was there — I must have passed it at least three or four times in the 24 hours or so I was in Sheffield — but for now, at least, it’s still preserved on Google street view, in tact from one side, and as it was when I was there from the other.

Professionally and intentionally botched.
Imagine Bob Barker having to call that name up to the stage.
The guy I bought those two Schrade 5OTs off of might be a good place to look, he usually has stuff like that. I was surprised when he remembered me this year. I was browsing his table and he said, “Hey, aren’t you the guy I sold those two green Schrades to last year?” I bought another USA Schrade and a Wenger Swiss Buck from him this year.
Well done, Bob!Congrats to the winners!
Such cool little knives. I’m kind of addicted to picking them up whenever I find ‘em. I blame @r8shell
Sounds like a nice time, Greg. Enjoy!
Poor guy lost his pet and a revenue stream all in one day.

Great patina and fantastic jigged bone on that #74!
I’ve got my #35 Johnny-on-the-Spot and Stag HHB in my pocket today.

Gary, whether it’s knives or guitars, The More I Know, The More I Know I Know I Don’t Know…Really like the blade combo on your sawcut Queen Barlow, Chris!
Two fine lambs, Jack!
Lovely bone and jigging on your Craftsman jack!
I'm not much of a Barlow user, but I sure enjoy looking at other people's Barlows! Pretty pair, Todd!
Do you cook breakfast on your morning fires?
Sweet knife, Bart!
I have a 93OT that must be a descendant of that model.
Those vintage Voos jacks are so vibrant and virile, Tim!
Congrats on your professional re-certification, Mike! Your Buck lockback is very elegant!
Thanks, Jack; I always enjoy carrying it when its turn comes around.
Dandy duo of dark knives, Steve!
When I was a kid, a Yankee drill like that was my favorite style of drill. I could control it better than the "eggbeater" kind of drill, and WAY better than a "brace and bit" drill with the big U-shaped crank handle and the knob on top.
Yeah, that threw me off too. I finally "took a chance" and walked 3 miles round trip to the post office to mail a birthday card to a sister-in-law, figuring that "logic" would have the Post Office closed on Saturday, the actual holiday, since they usually are open on Saturdays, although for shorter hours. And I came up a winner!
You're welcome, Jeff; I thought there was a lot of interesting info in those pages.
No need to apologize for discussing details of a topic that catches your fancy! It's eye-opening to me to read exchanges like that and realize how little I know about almost everything.
The chess pieces you carved are very cool!!
That photo is a beaut!
Once she knew where the Delta gates were relative to the airport entrance, she decided she didn't need wheelchair assistance on the way home.
I'm a big fan of knife-on-post photos, but you've upped the intensity with 2-knives-on-post-with-water-background!
Dan, even as you get older, you're still a chick(adee) magnet!
Splendid knife, and I'm happy to hear that you're hiking with hounds so early in your hip healing!
I was there several years ago but don't remember a train, but my only luggage was carry-on. I remember a lengthy subway ride from the gates to the exit at the Madrid airport.
Quality quartet, Jeff!
Joy-inducing jigging on that copperhead, Chris!
First class slip and knives!
Excellent choices for those holidays, Jack!

Thank you, Todd!Very nice Greg, nice 66.
Thanks John.
Love that photo and the lamb looks great.
Love the garden photos Jeff.
Not usually breakfast Gary, but steaks find their way over the fire quite often.![]()
