What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I was supposed to attend a UK knife show a couple of months ago, with Johnnythefox Johnnythefox . but unfortunately I came down with Covid a couple of weeks before, and didn't want to risk making anyone else ill :( There was a knock on my door this afternoon, and the postman delivered a bumper box of goodies from John, some of which are from the show :) Watch this space, some cool stuff there! :)

Here was my thinking, theres nothing Jack hasnt got in the knife world so I tried to get as much from the show he couldnt attend as possible and some other bits..

The Svord is available in the UK but mine I bought in NZ from a hunting shop, smoothed the covers and applied lots of oil (it was 2 months at sea under the seat of my motorbike to get it back to England, it did a lot of miles).
The other 3 where from Roberts stall (RIP) I expect Jack has a lot of IXL but I liked it a lot.
The opinel is almost old new stock without the lock ring as its one of the early ones that came without, it has a good amount of friction to open/close.
The camp knife just took my eye.
The lanyard is from my corp the REME.
A horn/bone? fish knife which i thought was a butter knife or letter oppener it will do all 3. 😁

Yes Jack its a brass pen it unscrews at the top to use hence the lanyard to help you orientate and lower down unscrews to refill, you cant see the joins.
I have fitted a better refill that you cut to fit,no sharp corners so doesent damage pockets.

The other pen is for Iphones/ipads and also is a ball pen as well.

The dished coin was something the stall holder did for no particular reason he said.

Then just lots of stickers and bits and bobs.

Here is the Svord being used in NZ,a lot of outdoors types where using them.

Postman was kind enough to deliver my latest purchase: A GEC Elephant Toe, or as they call it, the Toe Nail Clipper. Its a monster of a knife and would fill a pocket on its own, being very impressive and substantial. Typical strong F&F. Love this pattern #36. Deep grooves keep the blade from slipping in hand. -Thanks again to Steve.

Very nice

Both of these feel appropriately autumnal for this evening's cringey Friendsgiving, haven't decided which gets the call yet. More worryingly is the gauntlet that is next week. Two grueling days of work, train down to Philly to be with the inlaws on Thanksgiving proper, then immediately flying down to Tampa to spend the weekend with my family, coming back the following Tuesday. As much as I hate checking a bag, being knifeless is even worse!

I wernt for a very slow, short walk today along the river..

I took a Lambsfoot I bought from Robert at the Sharp Show.

"Thats not a flood, this is a flood",not according to the lock keeper he says it was nothing. 😅

someone asked me to take a picture of this wooden fencing/copsing???

switching to standard 110 and 301 in the Anti Maridian.

Both dateth from 2015.
Bought in Savelle, OH, at the local Walmart Super Center.
If memory serves, I also bought six 2 liter 6 pack cases of the Sam's Choice Mountain Lightning generic Mountain Dew.
The soda was used up in a couple days. The Buck's are still going strong.😁👍
