What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Oh, you’re gonna have fun this weekend, Fred!
Way back, I was in a great Scout Troop. Our Scoutmaster was kind of a badass. Not to us, but he was a Green Beret Vietnam vet. He used to have us sit on his back, and do push ups…
Years later, my brother got into judo, and when he mentioned the name of a judo legend he’d met, ir turned out to be my old Scoutmaster.
Anyway, I became an Asst Scoutmaster so I could go on all those camping trips with my Boy Scout sons. Great nemories!

Glen can do it all. 🤙

Thanks again, buddy!😉

First of all, have a safe drive. And don’t forget to lock up the house.
Last month we flew to Florida for five days, and when we got home, we discovered we’d pulled out and left the garage door open. Nothing happened ~ benefit of having a lot of growth blocking the view of the house, and living in s small subdivision in the country.

You can fix that proud blade by filing the kick there on the tang. Just a few swipes with a file, check… repeat until the blade sits properly. A proud blade with cut you!

Have a blessed Thanksgiving with your family, Mike.

Awesome hat, Mitch!

I love my 881s, but never noticed they called it Texas pattern!🧐

A gunshot very close by out back right after dawn this morning reminded me not to take my dog into the woods this weekend. The guy that owns the woods behind us leases deer hunting rights to some city guys…

Looking good, my friend!
Bringing out the good stuff.🤙
Thanks Jeff🙂
Made it down ok and had a great time. Sitting in the cemetery at the moment . On the Grohmann, there isn’t enough kick to file. If it was used a lot and sharpened frequently it wold become a problem at which point I’d need to reprofile the blade .
Glad nobody bothered your garage👍
Man, I miss my real keyboard. Phone typing is for kids 🙃

I almost never swap knives midday, but today I did.
We’re all gathering at Mom and Dad’s house to celebrate him turning 90.
My brother in law is a knife guy, but sadly seems stuck in the one hand opener, pocket clip, thumb stud, tacticool way of knifedom, which is just a sad place for a mid sixties man to be, right?

I have always shown him whatever traditionals I happen to be carrying, and I even gave him a nice one…
But I still see something ugly like a Gerber clipped on his pocket. 🥹
He has more money than anyone else in the family, so he’d be the perfect gut to introduce to nice, spendy slipjoints, right?

Hey Gregg, ever heard of Great Eastern Cutlery?52B38D4B-F1F4-4645-8781-07416740F9F3.jpeg

Happy Birthday to your dad.
Some people never learn

Great photo Greg, and a fine pair to get you out of your jim-jams! :D
Thanks, Jack. That is a recycled photo but one of my better snapshots of knives. I did manage to get out of my pajamas that day and carried that pair for about 5 days straight. ;)
Wife and I traveled for 10 days to visit daughters and grandkids over Thanksgiving and arrived home a few hours ago. I don't post on my phone but have been looking in occasionally
while away so I'm way behind my friend. :)

Sounds like a nice time, Greg. Enjoy!
Thanks, Barrett. We had a nice trip indeed. Ate well and stayed active even though we weren't able to fit in any mountain hiking like we had hoped. Plenty of family time though and that's what mattered most. :)

Very nice Greg, nice 66. 😎👍
Thank ya, Todd. The 66 is a great all around carry. If a person only had one knife it would be a good choice, but who could live with those kind of boundary's? 😁

I stumbled onto a Case dealer while in SC with a large selection of new and older Case knives as well as a few other brands. After about 1-1/2 hours of browsing I selected a 6375 big stockman in antique smooth bone. I went in looking for a 47 stockman of which he had several but none had the covers that appealed to me except for the older stag ones he had, I was able to restrain myself from opening my wallet on those.:) I did return the next day and also picked up a mini trapped with nice jigged bone.
I was happy to find a place where I could handle the knives I wanted to purchase rather than taking a chance buying online. The 75 had been on my mind to get for a few months but until I walked into that shop I had never actually held one. Anyway, to make a short story long, I'm carrying this one the last few days.
