Thanks Jeff.Nice Serpentine Jack Schrades of the 293 persuasion!
Well done delrin on your Schrade Jeff.Early walk in a restored tall grass prairie by the Kishwaukee River. Now, I need to finish drinking my pre-scope prep on the way home. Timing is everythingView attachment 2420125View attachment 2420126
Wenger Handyman in case anything has to be MacGuyvered, and my favorite user out of my small group of Schrade Serpentine Jacks, my Schrade Walden 294. I’m happy with the delrin because I don’t worry about breaking it.
You're welcome, Bob.To our poet laureate thank you.
I did the unthinkable and lacquered it Gary. My friend has special equipment to heat the lacquer for a piano like finish..so we tried it.
They still offer quite a selection of Half Hawks, including both 1 blade and 2 blade models and even at least one carbon steel model (and the vendor I looked at claimed both 3 7/8" and 4" models, but I find that hard to believe), but no smooth tobacco bone. Thanks buddyI did the same thing, then I did it again, third time I gave away the knife, went to buy another, and RR had stopped doing them!

I'm not meeting my mileage goals the last couple of weeks, Chris, and have no excuse other than laziness and/or refusing to walk if it's rainy.Thank you, sir! It was a lucky find for sure.
How many miles are you up to?? You're going to need an oil change soon!![]()
Splendid old stag lambsfoot, José!
That's a handsome handful right there, Jon!
Gotta take note a the Ohta, Bob, but that coffin jack just slays me!I hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start.View attachment 2417948
Pair of vibrant vintage knockouts, Steve!
That Pal punch has plenty of panache, Greg!Pal Cutlery cattle punch that had the black plastic jigged scales originally. I sent it to Jason Ritchie a few years ago and he did a perfect job on recovering it in rosewood.
Also carrying a Northwoods Lincoln Jack, with giraffe bone covers, yesterday and today.

That coco (?) is looking really nice Jon.
Like that photo Tim.
Thanks. I don’t have any idea about the plastic thing Gary. I was thinking maybe you’d know!Definitely enjoy the photo, Todd; it pegged my meter past the red line!
Good to see that you're keeping your head down and watching where you're going in the big city! Do you have any idea what that plastic/rubber circular thing screwed to the face of the cast iron meter cover is? I see those occasionally on my walks and have no idea of their purpose. Your gold Cadet looks great on the cast iron patina.
