I was busy last week with our daughter visiting for a week, so I haven't been keeping up with this thread the way I like. Here are some quotes from last Sunday and Monday that I saved, so I guess I'll comment on them now almost a week late.
keeping it simple with just one knife to start the day, mini trapper.

The bone on your mini trapper looks fantastic, Greg!

Not much going on here today…just what I wanted.

Todd, I know you're carrying knives in "Christmas colors" this month, but I'm sure I have a quite impoverished notion of what Christmas colors are (I can't get past red and green).

Does the Case have covers made from reindeer antlers??
The grain on your Stockyard Whittler is amazing!

Is that the osage orange model?
Another day around the house and yard. Nothing in particular to do so I'll probably end up watching the Rams get their lunch handed to them by the Ravens. This 2002 manufactured SS Sowbelly with Vintage Bone covers will make a good fidget tool while watching the game. Pancakes and sausage for breakfast.

I always admire your Case sowbelly stockman knives, ED; that's another beauty!

Spent a little time this afternoon finishing my latest walking stick except for applying the polyurethane . I did put some brown stain on it , but it hardly absorbed any . The wood is from one of our felled Hickories .
Used the draw knife and old TEW and had the Stag 73 and 2019 BF Knife in my pockets .

Terrific trio of knives, Harry!

I always enjoy seeing your walking stick projects.
Here's one I've messed with for a few minutes every week or two since last summer. It's an oak branch from a big limb that fell out of the neighbor's tree into our front yard. For now, I'll probably leave the bark on it; I've just tried to smooth it off by sanding with 80-grit sandpaper.
Going for a rustic look, I guess.
Thank you! It's a stunner I think...

The symmetry between mark and pile side covers is astounding!!

That's a good one, GT!!
You have good taste, Chris!

Thanks!
...
Have a great week everyone

Starting mine with these two
Praiseworthy pair of pocket knives, Jack!

Carrying my new Albers lamb this week for Jon's awesome GAW thread. It's such a ham!

Gorgeous grain on your lambsfoot!

What wood is that?
Starting with this Joseph Rodgers Lamb. May change later.

Very cool and unusual handle, David!

Thanks. I don’t have any idea about the plastic thing Gary. I was thinking maybe you’d know!
No, I'm also clueless, unless there's been some technological advance that allows an instrument to be inserted in the smaller opening to get the same (or more) info that used to require taking the whole lid off.

One of these days, I've got to start a thread titled something like "Manhole Covers etc. and Traditional Knives". I've got quite a variety of photos I could post, and I'm curious to see "cast iron art" from around the country and beyond!
