What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Great pic buddy :)

Local maker Jacek Robotka forged me this Viking-style knife about 3 years ago. I was touching up the edge with a jasper whetstone last night, and thought I'd carry it today, with my Hartshead Barlow

Thanks, Jack! That's a stellar pair you are carrying today!

Stunning!

What a fun discovery :D

Dr. Rick is a dummy and should have his license pulled. In one commercial he advises that "...you don't have to leave your number because the phone does that." That only works if you're talking to a cell phone. A lady called me yesterday and left a message saying, "...you can call me at this number. Its my direct line." She didn't leave the number. She was talking to an old fashioned landline with an answering machine View attachment 2451358
You don't leave a number, you don't get called back. Fortunately, she was more interested in buying than I was in selling, so no loss, but still

None of the snow stuck yesterday. Its sticking a little today, but I don't think its going to amount to much here. I think its worse a few miles north.

As I used to say when I was a kid, which Mom and Dad didn’t appreciate, “YEAH, BUT”… or more accurately, “YABBUT”…

Yeahbut, the commercials are still funny!
Having to race through this thread a bit, or I'll never get anything else done today!

Thanks Todd :)

Thank you Steve, I enjoyed carrying them together, both got used quite a bit :)

😖

Thanks Gary :)

Do we call that Viking knife a Seax?
Either way, your assailant’s chain mail won’t stand a chance.
Back to work.

Hey! You need a corkscrew at work?
Or is that an earwax remover?😎

I like that Schrade, Gary.🤙

60 mph winds and 3.5 inches of rain last night, fortunately we prepared.

Gifted carry today.

Paul and Jeremy strike on the same day. Overjoyed is an understatement.View attachment 2452082
Hope the storm wasn’t bad for you, Bob. We lost power for about four hours but that was about the extent of it for us. There are still quite a few in this area that still don’t have power, though.

We survived with some branches down but no flooding here.
It's amazing how much we take for granted Jeremy; but power outages tend to bring us back to earth. Glad it was a short period.

Thanks buddy !

Another nice pair ! 👍
Thank you Steve :)
These yesterday.

But I think I'll return to fanning my inner Swedish fire while the snow continues.

I used my hat because my rocks were snowy.928EBACA-E01D-41B4-945C-BA9B0D400270.jpegAn old Ulster Electrician with it’s unique round butt cocobolo for Woodnesday, and my Half Stop Schrade 804 for Whittlerwednesday.2E493B36-4A6C-40E5-BEAA-1734E7817DFB.jpegThe goofballs who run the weather app on my ifone did it again. Several days ago, they were predicting a winter storm delivering 2-4 inches of snow. Then it became 6-8, finally 13 inches. According to them.
It was actually 3.5 inches of slush.
Of course, our power went out just as we sat down to eat in front of a Matlock rerun. Fortunately, we have some miracle battery backup bulbs in some lamps that come on when the power goes out, so we could see to eat. We did miss Matlock, though, but we’ve seen that one before. It was the one with Dick Butkus, my favorite football player of all time, playing a professional wrassler accused of murder.

Woke up to three inches of snow on the ground with heavy snow still falling. Definitely a stay at home day. Will shovel as little as possible and not plow the back driveway. This Buck 112 LT is on my belt. Sausage and eggs for breakfast.
