What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice pair Gary !

Great pairing Jon !

Great looking Lamb !
Thanks Steve! That Pal is a beauty ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ.
Two knives I really like. These two have been with me all week.

Those two knives are โ€œfineโ€ for carrying. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Mmm, that tomato screams BLT to me.

Who is the maker of that knife, if you don't mind me asking?
This one is destined for a salad tonight, but it should be the first of many.

The knife is just the recent GEC 143223 stag. On the very rare occasions I manage to get a GEC they take about a month to travel the big water to Australia. So Iโ€™ve only just got it yesterday.

Yesterdays carry my only 15.

I went for a short walk in a big park, then a short nostalgia walk where I used to live.

Park Town was the poshest part of town, I had a small bedsit in someones posh house.

You have to be vetted to buy a house there,it has its own park hence the name I guess.

My girlfriend at the time was asked to leave the park when she was waiting for me once,I see they have put a lock on the gates now.

She was a sweet thing, not some cans of special brew swallying, heavily tattoed, tab smoking ,belching behemouth (that probaly came after she left me for some twonk of a singer in a rock band). ๐Ÿคญ

We just wernt posh enough,I even got told of for washing my car in the street they just didnt do that sort of thing... ๐Ÿคฃ

I went for a coffee nearby expensive as the areas houses.

Another pub I went into (to use the loos) was playing records not seen that in decades, talked to a nice lass on the way out.

I shall definetly go back there when Im better with and arm full of LPs and a thirst...are they ready for the Stooges no fun? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

This sign outside of one pub I see as a challenge, I shall have to go back when I am better and have a go.

LOL! :D Looks like an interesting pub John, nice to hear you're still getting chatted up! :D There was a private estate, with a big park like that, where I grew up in Sheffield, and we'd get chased off for taking a short cut. I have an author friend, who grew up there, and tells me it wasn't that posh, but her dad owned a Roller! :D At the bottom of my garden, here in Leeds, there's a small access road, (for the servants and deliveries), and then a wall. On the other side of the wall, the half dozen streets make up what was formerly a private estate, some huge mansions there, but Leeds City Council took it back, in the early 1980's, because the roads weren't being maintained.
Great looking Lamb !
Thanks Steve :)

I always enjoy seeing your curved Bulldog stag Barlow, Josรฉ!:thumbsup::cool:

I've got Beni in pocket for the weekend. Hard to beat handling a chunk of gnarly stag in the pocket.

Superb stag lamb, Jeff! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

It's hard to beat a SBJ covered in all that chestnutty goodness!!
Amen!! :thumbsup:๐Ÿค“

Nice looking pair Gary !
I always appreciate your kind compliments, Steve. :)

Interesting. Popeyeโ€™s here in the states is usually decent enough (at least as far as fast food fried chicken places go).
My daughter and her fiancรฉ from St. Paul MN think that Popeye's is without question the best fast food chicken chain.

View attachment 2446304it got me to the final table again, this knife is money.it is ironic that out of all the releases I chased the white owl the most.untill a local carver decided to offer this up to me,and since then by putting the white owl on my cards at thursday night poker I've been winning.can the owl see what I can't and then is sending subliminal messages, I think so.
No idea what you paid for your White Owl, but it sounds like you should have paid a lot more for it! ๐Ÿค“:thumbsup:

Admirable Henckels sleeveboard! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Couple of breathtaking beauties, Steve!:thumbsup::cool:

Cold & gloomy day in NW Arkansas. Went out looking for eagles but they didn't want to cooperate. The few I saw were too far away or obscured by branches.

That Barlow trio is cooler than a star-bellied sneetch!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Just a fixed blade for me today. Rainy day project for the day - my son and I replaced some laces on our gloves. I used the Krein to cut the excess.

Nice job on re-lacing the ball gloves, Bart!:cool::thumbsup: I'd never seen a Wally Joyner first base mitt before.
I've had 5 gloves over the past 64 years, starting with a Sears Ted Williams model in 1960, but I only replaced the laces on one of them. Based on my experience, you were wise not to try replacing the "coil" of lacing at the top of the webbing.

I start with a large thank you to Wayne@way-barney for my new J Blyde pen knife. He thought the stamp, Saturn with GENIUS under it, would apply somewhere. Mensa will never open it's door to me.๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hope no one has to shovel much snow.View attachment 2448395
Congrats on the vintage pen knife, Bob, and those 88 sowbellies always catch my attention!:cool::thumbsup:

Coffee with pops and twin brother yesterday and every Saturday View attachment 2448444
That stockman is a treasure, and a couple of superb canoes out for coffee!:cool::cool:

๐Ÿคฃ I'll have to hold with your daughter on this one!

At first, I thought this to be a composite image of all the perpetrators from every episode of Forensic Files I've ever seen! ๐Ÿคฃ

Pair this look with a vintage Econo-line van that's got "Free Candy" written on the side and you're all set for next Halloween! ๐Ÿคฃ
๐Ÿ˜ You've given me food for thought, I guess. I recently finished a Jack Reacher novel in which an Econo-line type van played a prominent role.

Two beautiful canoes from your extensive collection, Gary. Good year 2024 for you and family.:)๐Ÿ‘
Thanks for the kind compliments and well-wishes, Josรฉ, and I hope you and yours have a happy and prosperous new year, too! :)
