Pleasing pair, Bob, especially that vintage stockman!

Adolphus Cutlery.
The gentleman
Rookie82
was able to learn me the following:
“Adolphus Cutlery Co. was a mark owned by A. J. Jordan who imported knives from England and Germany, and sold them in St. Louis. My reference books say 1882-1890s.
The Alexander Jackson Jordan (A.J.) company owned many different brand names, including AAA1, Old Faithful, 20th Century, and Adolphus Cutlery. A large amount of his business was in selling knives to Native American tribes, especially Blackfeet and Crow. They operated from 1871-1929.”
Thanks for the additional info (and props to
Rookie82
for digging it up); amazing knife!

A pair of Cases today. The 6308 Whittler is from 1972. The 2031L Electrician is older.

Couple of captivating vintage Case knives, Jeff!

I don't remember you carrying a pair of Cases very often.

Starting to match the countertop now

That's very cool (and weird)!

Handsome Buck!

That knife has loads of style AND substance!!

Got some stuff out today that I like but never carry.

Splendid trio!

Do you not carry them because they're rare and virtually irreplaceable?
Rufus is Bob
Amir is Jeff
Jakey is Paul
Joe Fairbanks is Ken
Priester John is Vince
And so on…
If I would have known this kind of creative license was allowed when I joined the forum, I wouldn’t have chosen such a dull name like…my real daggum name

.
Once upon a time there was a thread here in which people posted explanations of their usernames and why they chose them. I thought it was very interesting, but I can't seem to find it.
ETA: Found it!

Eureka yesterday and the wharncliffe trapper today.
That's a stunning pair, Bart!

...
I missed yesterday, so catching up has taken some time!

Carried this wee Shadow pattern Joseph Rodgers Lambsfoot yesterday...
And today, I'm positively bristling!

Have a good Friday everyone
Intriguing foursome of knives, Jack!

I sure hope you didn't have to burn that exquisite ebony to stay warm, Rob!

An Owl and Lamb today. Stay warm folks!

Superb pair, Todd; that "customized" Charlie Lamb is grand!

With today being
Black Friday here on the porch, I decided to be a light in the darkness.
Good idea, Jeff!

You Florida folks gotta carry some white knives for us snowbound people who are afraid of losing white knives in the snow.
Thanks, Gary! You're dead on -- that one's an Imperial (circa 1967).
I trust that, as a fellow Michigander, you and I will be pulling for the same team this weekend. Something tells me that it will not be the same team that Todd
bigfish64
will be rooting for...
Thanks for the confirmation, Jim.

And you're right, I'm a life-long Lions fan, although I didn't watch the game. I haven't watched a game all year, and I'm too superstitious to start watching now!

The Lions have been doing fine without my TV tuned to their games. (I often check the score online while the game is in progress though.

)
You are correct in that assumption Jim.

That said, if my Bucs don’t get past the Lions this weekend I will be pulling for the Lions to make it to the big game.
Looking forward to having you aboard, Todd!
Man…I opened the door for that one. Well played my friend!

I’ve been away from the Porch for a while, and missed everyone dearly. Trying to remember how to post pictures etc. please let me know if this works

Welcome back, Tom!

It's good to see one of your "daily double on the rocks" photos again!
That green gatorbelly is a looker!

I like your " Teddy Roosevelt " Gary, but oh my, what a lamb
Rosewood Lamb is killer Gary.

Thanks for the kind words, Bob & Todd.
I can appreciate and old knife that has a lot of character and is still in great working order. This antique Voos is a nice one and came into my procession as a gift courtesy of Paulhilborn a few years ago. Many thanks, Paul.

I've been carrying and using it along with a Fight'n Rooster the past few days. These two and a glass of bourbon are all I need to warm my heart and soul at the end of the work week.

TGIF Porchsters!

Your rosewood HHB is ravishing, Taylor!

Canoe? Can do!
Here's a few:

(Photo is over 6 years old. I think I have about 60 canoes now.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend

Double Albers for me
Jack, I enjoyed your double Albers, with relish!

That's an Alox model I'd like to track down someday, José!

Did they call that model Settler?
Just got this one in the mail last night, going to take it for a ride today
