What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Great photo, Doug!

Man, repeated exposure to all these beautiful chestnut bone Peanuts is having some kind of effect on my mind.

Thank you Mark. That is beautiful blue bone on the mini copperhead!

Here is a bit more enablement/temptation for you to fight against.

Y'all have a good one! Thank you Sitflyer for the well wishes.

My beloved Buck 309 "Companion". I am sooooo happy. Had it since 1977. Thought i lost him. Turns out that he spent the last 8 days on the bedroom floor of a lady i know. regards Henry

Happy to say I'm totin' my first ever Case today, a swayback jack that was waiting for me last night when I got home from work.

Not quite as traditional as slip-joints or lock-backs, but this stag handled folder is within my definition and tastes of a traditional knife.

Have also been carrying this since it arrived last week. The book is an excellent read as well, particularly appropriate for this forum

Well that certainly looks a little different from when I last saw it.....and great looking it is too! Surely not the potato trick?

No potato here Thom! Buffed all the hot spots out, then hit it with the old Perma Blue ;)
Thanks!

Once in a purple moon, Queen gets one right. This particular knife is an exceptional example of what they can do, if the knife gods bestow their blessings and the planets are properly aligned.

Stag goes very well with watermelon.

Thanks again Andi. I absolutely love this knife.

I have been on vacation for a while. Mostly I have been carrying a SAK. Now I will be heading to the woods and these ones will be with me:

The small Roselli for whittling and general use, the big Roselli for heavy use like batoning firewood, the Sodbuster for canoeing and food preparation since it is stainless and a good workhorse (that I have used too little) and the SAK for everything in between, like opening beer and wine bottles.

Me and my wife we went to Estonia for 5 days. Carried the SAK with me all the time. I honestly forgot that I had the modell in picture, thought I had lost it but found it going through some drawers.
