The Toferner Celtic/Norse/Viking (non-folding) pocket knife has been hanging on a leather cord around my neck every day since 11-04-21.
I don't see any reason (or think of a excuse) to stop ... leese wize not till the new one ordered gets hear ... and ittle probably join not replace.

I also have this Benchmade 318 Proper as a "neck knife" in the factory slip, under my shirt.

With digital pocket/stop watch, (the required to have on me issued by he facility 🙄🥺) emergency call button, and the Toferner hanging from cords outside my shirt ... it rather cluttered ...

Hope Y'all be having a FANTASTIC end of January and an even better February and beyond. 😇👍

Nice pairing Jack, I hope the fog begins to lift soon 😉👍
Thanks mate, at least, now I have other symptoms, I know it's not just old age! :D ;)
No mistakes with these two. Have a great day everyone! 😎👍View attachment 2475192
Handsome pair Todd :)
I'm so lusty, I'm still enviously eying walkers with seats.

Since medicare won't pay for danseuse-borne palanquins.

Still $11.75 to spend before April!
LOL! 🤣 Very good Jer, reminds me of a joke from the 1980's by Scottish comedian Arnold Brown, "Cordless PHONES? We were the first family on our street to have cordless PYJAMAS! " :D
I like the Lambs witj a pen secondary.
Do you find yourself using the small blade most often as I do? I don’t have a two bladed LF, but was thinking of today’s tote.
Strangely, I don't Jeff. With other 2-blade Jacks, I use the Pen a lot, but with a Lambsfoot, I can get everything I need done with just the one blade. The only time I really use the small blade is for the sake of discretion in a public setting, but even then I usually just choke up on the Lamb. Having always loved 2-blade Jacks, it came as a surprise to me
Ok. That reminds me of the Brit comedy skit ( Monty Python?) …
“And how did you find yourself this morning?”
“I just looked down, and there I was!”

Govt. says “Best I can do is pay for a dowager to fan you with a palm frond.
🤣
Jack Black Jack Black , I'm aware your knowledge centers mostly around Sheffield's cutlery operations but, having likely forgotten more than I'll ever know about European pocket knives, do you have any insight into this one as far as manufacture date, pattern history, and materials used - or barring that, knowledge of a resident expert on such things?

I've searched and searched, but have not found an image of any other like it.

As you probably know, this is another of Harvey's collection fished from the 'Bay - but after reading through the posts I could find concerning it on this forum, I'm still left with very sparse details. Any information that you, or others could provide would be most appreciated!
Thank you for the kind words my friend. Others will undoubtedly be able to help more, but Otter still make knives with a Triple Rattail bolster, and at least one member here has one. Yours is older though, since they use an etch on the blade today, and for at least the past 10 years. I had some reason to be in touch with the company some years ago, and found them very helpful, though I'm not sure their ownership is still the same. Maybe worth dropping them an email though? I'm sure they'd love to see some of your superb photos of one of their older knives. They use camel-bone for their covers today, along with some other materials. Here's one of the cutlery stamps used for the bolsters (this one is from Sheffield)

Forum rules prevent me posting a link, since they retail as well as manufacture, but they are easily found. Our expert on the company was Andy Humppa Humppa , but he hasn't posted for a long time. He always spoke well of them, and said their knives were handmade. I have one he gave me, but it's a different pattern (at that time I think they were a smaller company, and only did a few patterns)

Edit - I must apologise for my currently Covid-addled brain, Otter do not currently produce a knife with a Trip-Rattail bolster, but only a double fluted one
In honor of yesterday's ivoroid discussion, this Camillus is in the pocket today... :)

I'm carrying a couple of canoes this week, as usual, among the knives assigned to me by my weekly rotation schedule.
