What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

We were going through some boxes in the garage this weekend and we finally found my first pocketknife. I knew it was here, I just couldn't lay my hands on it. My uncle gave it to me when I was 11. A Kabar 1081 stockman. What a treat to finally locate it.

One that our friend Johnnythefox Johnnythefox fox might be amused by :) A very handy brass linerless knife by Coursolle, France. Nice nature and sporting scenes on these, great snap and sharp. Carbon, and might be legal even in Britain as it's diminutive ;):D

Very nice.

If you need a microscope to see it then its most definitely legal to carry in England. 😅

What a lovely knife to have at that age, still nice to use at this age as well.

Here's an 86 that's floating around. Note the gawdy, garrish, uglier than sin, overdone, useless, engraved, stamped, scratched on, bolster? Just thought I point it out.
Tell us how you really feel, Ed 🤣. I'm on your team here, even my Northfield 77 w/ the stamped bolsters doesn't get carried much, it just seems a bit stuck on itself?

That's an awesome first knife Jim! Uncle started you off right.

Yesterday's carry became today's, and it was the only thing that went right today *grumblecuss*.
Hope somebody on the Porch got something good done today, cuz' it wasn't me.
