Not doing much outside today, it’s raining cats and dogs. It’s a good chance to catch up on shelling my stash of fresh pecans. I’ve heard tell of using the shells for smoking meat so I’ll save them and try it out soon on baby back ribs or a pork shoulder.

Great photo! I haven’t tried the shells but I use pecan wood when smoking ribs, it provides a flavor I really like without the harshness that can accompany mesquite or hickory.

With the Badger knife show coming up I thought I get one of my purchases from last year out for some pocket time. Riding along is my Albers lamb. Have a great Saturday everyone. 😎👍View attachment 2490410
Nice combo, Todd.
A fine pair, Steve.
Started on the next walking stick today and have these 2 Northfield Stags along with me as well as the Puukko . The Puukko will be the user and the Stags will just watch .

Sometimes with Stag you just have to look at the Pile side too .

Looking good, Tyson. That 112 can no doubt conquer just about anything.

in did it myself no sew & no glue leather sheath clipped to split ring on 09:00/21:00 belt loop. (small splitring and lobster clasp added to hold the "glass breaker")
(Traditional's "no no" bits hidden so I don't get in trouble ... I hope ...)
LOL! :D Nice work, hope to see more of it one day :) Aitor did a 'Survival Knife' with a slingshot back in the 80's, the Jungle King II if I remember right
The edge is the downfall of the lamb.View attachment 2490162
Such a shame about the edge Bob, but you've tidied it up considerably, and it's still a lovely knife
Sweet double Albers !
Thanks Steve, I felt like Charlie Potatoes! :D
Double Albers…you’re spoiling yourself Jack.
😎👍
Thanks a lot Todd, I was a bit! :D ;)
Raining and mild ....... making it an Opinel Saturday for Mr. P. 💧💦💧💦☔
One in my belt sheath ... two in my pockets.
I often notice that some member or another posts up an Opinel knife and comments how handy, question why they need anything more, what a great value they are, as well as nice quality.
I am in that same frame of mind today. ☺️
