Midday Monday Mailcall ☺️. Had to switch my carry out to give this stunning "Cowboy" from Horsewright Horsewright a tote. Do I walk a little bow-legged now? Maybe 🤠
Awesome new Cowboy, FC. Now I know the cattle-related purchase you were referencing earlier. I think I could hear your spurs jingling through the picture 😁 I keep saying this, but I really need to get one of Dave’s knives.
Things don’t change much around here.😐

Two stunning knives there👍
Cool Lloyd, Bob. I’m a sucker for a nice shadow pattern.
Another nice Horsewright, love the stag 👍
Now you guys are taunting me. 🤣

Good Morning Porchsters,

After a few days laid up with the "two bob bits" I am riskily going to sojourn into the great outdoors. I am not planning on doing any work with a knife today probably carry only, but Its had a quick sharpen and ready to go, you never know, and its there just in case!

Thank you Zhoovie! I *do* need a lever action, someone please tell my wife (without explaining that it's to match a new knife). I probably *should* have bought a new pair of Redwings instead of another fb, but the boots will be there later and we all knew that Amber Bone wasn't going to last long 😁
Totally understand, that amber bone has some amazing color! 😉
As for convincing your wife, I don't think I can offer much help with an explanation of a new rifle right after the new knife! 🤣

Horsewright Horsewright I'm not a cowboy, but I did retain a little bit of the flavor from my grandfather, it shows at times 😉

Awesome lever action.
What gave up the skin?
Thanks. That skin is from a Timber Rattlesnake that got too close for comfort. I usually leave them alone or move them out further back on the property if I can. I don't like to kill them unnecessarily. One of our dogs got bit by one the year before last, that's never a fun thing to deal with. Dog is fine now but was swollen up for awhile.

(Edited to add species of rattlesnake)

Glad the pup made it through.
I know what you mean about relocating unless too close.
Judging by the size of the skin that was a good size snake
