Surprised you don't need a hip replacement
"Thanks" to a hereditary bone defect (I'm 4th generation to inherit it) my hips and knees vave been bad since childhood.
When I was 8 or 9 the orthopedic doctors at University of Iowa Med Center told me "You will be in a wheelchair before you're 20."
Not sure if they were optomistic or pessimistic on that diagnosis.
I b 69 this year and still ain't in one. I suspect riding a bicycle or adult trike has helped postpone that diagnosis.
In 1985 my then wife sent me to her ortho/chiropractor.
After looking at my x-rays he told me "You know, Steve, you're walking around pretty dam good for a guy that's 196 years old!" (estimated age based on joint wear.)
He also told me he has replaced hips and knees that were in better condition than mine, and that the condition of my knees and hips had to improve before they could be replaced!!!🤯😳 Obviously, they improving is never going to happen...

Figured I hit all the internet knife alliteration points on Monday; Micarta, Metal, and Black Menefee Monday.
Tuesday went unchronicled

Wooden Wednesday was a fine day for these blades and a bicycle ride. You know what's better than copper rivets? Hand hammered copper rivets!
Hope everybody had a great Wednesday?

Well Steve the only thing I can say is, “Run Forest run” 😜

I’ve been wanting a knife from my birth year for quite a while and was wanting to get something different than Case’s current patterns. I found this delrin 6202 1/2 and it arrived yesterday. I carried it today with a Case barlow. It’s not in the best shape, but hey, neither am I after 46 years. It’s well-made and I like it.

It’s G-carta. Knife was made for the Barlow Bearcat Club. It was our 2024 club knife!
Thanks Taylor. Cool looking handles. Definitely something different for GEC. I used to go to Greg’s, the owner of G-carta, house when he lived around here to pick up knife handle materials. Super nice guy. He used to give me extra stuff for the kids to mess around with. Unfortunately, he moved to Idaho.
