You've got an old school slip there! That Krein Bird and Trout is one of the best looking ones around in my opinion. Such a great looking pattern, love the blade shape and the handle looks super comfortable.TGIF folks! Krein B&T, and AG Russel Pinched Peanut today. Using my favorite little knife slip, from Rob atBeard&Owl .

Thanks Chris. They are a bit small for some but I do enjoy them, some of the snappiest knives I own.Dang!! That's sweet!! If I didn't have gorilla mitts, I'd be all over these Boker barlows!

I do the same, and drive my wife nuts with the constant opening and closing!I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I sit down to unwind at the end of the day I grab a knife or three to set next to me in the recliner. Yes, Lazy Boy, because I’m over 50!
I happened to grab these 2 tonight and it just dawned on me how much they look like father and son.

So, I was talking to one of the bikers in the group I'm here at the event serving this weekend. Their club is made up men in recovery from drinking. I told him it was ironic that I was here this weekend serving them, as today is my 6th anniversary on being alcohol free. I went on back to working and running food for the buffet. A few minutes later, one of the servers came in the kitchen and asked me if I had been talking to one of the guys in the group. I said yes. She said he wanted to see me out in the dining room. I walked out into the dining room and there he was. He said he had something for me and laid this in my hand. What a sincere gesture. Very cool! Oh, and I’m carrying my favorite blade tonight as well. It was a good day. View attachment 2507878View attachment 2507879View attachment 2507880

While we all laugh, let us not forget that the military has now deployed ACTUAL flying terminators (any armed robot capable of autonomous killing is a terminator, that is the definition). These things kill kids and entire families all the time, by accident. Oops! At least that couldn't happen to us, here, could it? After all, the authorities would never direct weapons of war at the American public, right? *cue ominous music* https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1985_MOVE_bombingFor all we know @birdsbeaks the original has been replaced by AI and is here to defend and support our new AI overlords
Other than that possibility, you make some good points. Muy bien.

Great choice Greg. Two cups of coffee later and I made a decision on what to carry today as I prepare to leave the house. It'll be ebony and rosewood for me today.
Enjoy the weekend folks.
