What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

So, I was talking to one of the bikers in the group I'm here at the event serving this weekend. Their club is made up men in recovery from drinking. I told him it was ironic that I was here this weekend serving them, as today is my 6th anniversary on being alcohol free. I went on back to working and running food for the buffet. A few minutes later, one of the servers came in the kitchen and asked me if I had been talking to one of the guys in the group. I said yes. She said he wanted to see me out in the dining room. I walked out into the dining room and there he was. He said he had something for me and laid this in my hand. What a sincere gesture. Very cool! Oh, and I’m carrying my favorite blade tonight as well. It was a good day. View attachment 2507878View attachment 2507879View attachment 2507880
That's awesome! Congratulations on your six years 👍

Old and American,no not me. 😄

Sitting on my garden bench in the sun cleaning up my Remington 2213 that arrived today.

Using the arm rest as a mini bench, very relaxing and enjoyable.

I had said to myself sell some knives, dont buy anymore.😅

But I couldnt resist, it could be 100 years old,its just as I like them used and ready for use.

Now I have a few small 2 blade pocket knives.

They are all just perfect at around 60g to dissapear in the pocket yet have lots of cutting power/options.

My Barlow and the Case are a touch heavier,it has a slightly bigger main blade than the Case the pen is less broad its smaller in handle width.

It equates in many ways to the Bunny in functionality.

Ah what the heck I just like it.

Any thoughts on these welcome, its not a bullet knife I suppose?

Wow ! Three beauties 😍👍
Thanks buddy!
Ruggedly handsome knives!

Let's have some knife content to accompany my terminator rants, shall we? I'd imagine these two won't help much against the drone terminators that will guard the King's Woods soon enough. The only animal allowed to be hunted there will be us..

- blimmin 'eck, Johnny.........sun...!? Can't be in Blighty, surely, grey, cold and miserable here in t' smoke.

Very nice array of sharps, congrats

If there's a peep of sun tomorrow, going to see if the 'bike will start - fingers crossed.
OK it was only out or about 20 mins then it went cold again. 😁

What bike have you got?

I am holding a bike meet in May, be great if you could come along

Bibury motor hub Saturday 11th May.

@majorpain1 ~ you had me going for a minute there. Figuring that you and your better half had to be about 90 to be celebrating your 70th anniversary.

Well, I’ve been blessed by that ‘ol Porch Generosity again. @Jakeywax31 saw this Case Electrician for sale on another site, messaged to ask if I’d like it, and before I could even answer, he’d bought it for me and had the guy send it to my mailbox.

Case 62031 LHR made in Bradford in 1981. From what I found out, Case LHRs were made by Camillus for Case.
Really stout knife that will get used for sure!
Thank you very much, Paul. I’ll bring it to the Badger Blade Show ~ one month from today! ~ so you can inspect it and see how nice delrin can be!😎View attachment 2506872View attachment 2506873The backsprings are blued to almost black, which looks great with the brass liners.
View attachment 2506874The blades are in great shape. I had to use a magnifying glass to determine if it had ever been sharpened after leaving the factory. Nice to see a 40+ year old work knife that has not been “sharpened” on a bench grinder or concrete sidewalk.
I think later models were in stainless, but this is carbon🤙
A little work on the crock sticks for a good edge, and off we go.

That’s a cool knife, Jeff! Well done, Paul! The blued backsprings are an interesting touch.

Cool knife, Todd. I like the two Micarta.

Amazing pics, Dan! 😁

Old IXL Barlow today on a hospital visit to see a friend in a bad way in ICU.

PLEASE dont be sad hes on the mend and in a good frame of mind.

Though he can only just lift a cup up lately, hes allowed the odd coffee I bought him a flat white which he will savour for hours.

I hope your friend continues to get better! Some interesting hospital art there. Good looking IXL.

That’s an interesting one, José. Are those handles cork? Are they stabilized in some way?

Love the warm, butterscotch-y micarta on that one.

Carrying one of my first GECs with one of my newest GECs.
